Does any one know of one available yet? Seems to run a bit lean while cruising half throttle or less. i notice a pop on decel, and have read about it on here too.
Well its been a year since I installed the jbs sheave and spring on my 450 and this past weekend was the first time back in the rough country and towing a heavy load. I was towing my moose over a bog and it seemed like the belt was slipping. now before the clutch mods and mud bug tire install I could tow with easy but is it because of the lower ratio that the belt slips under heavy loads? I usually haul a lot of wood during the winter to. my dealer has a purple in stock or I could go up one size from the blue I have to a orange but I’ll have to order which will take a couple weeks.just wondering if the purple will be good

So the drain tube coming from the water pump housing starting leaking and the machine started over heating on my recent moose hunt due to coolant loss.
I see that the 2007’s are known to fry stators which will be exposed when resealing the water pump. Do you guys think I should install a new stator while resealing the pump? I guess the update for the stator is a different cover with an oil line or something? I think I saw a thread with a recent parts list for this repair job…
I’m just curiously checking into the cost to convert my 2wd to 4×4. Can get the parts used on ebay fairly cheap. $100 for front axle and diff. $100 for good CV axles, $20 for each wheel hub. What other parts is there?
The other thing I’m trying to figure out is on the 2wd the engine case obviously has the round indented spot where the front axle would have been. So the 2wd and 4×4 have different engine cases I know. I can buy a gasket set and swap over all the internals, no big deal, make it a weekend project. But I’m having trouble figuring out what is different inside the transmission that gives the gear for the axle. Or did they use the same transmission on both and just "cap off" over it. Anyone have one of these engines apart recently? Any pics of parts that may interest me.
I know some will say just sell it and get a 4×4. But for for about $300 and a few hours to convert it to 4×4 would be worth it to me. Doubt I can sell mine and add $300 into it and find a 4×4 to buy. And I’ve done good maintenance to mine as well, so should still last awhile.
I have a 2010 Grizzly and I started hearing a noise from the clutch it seems like when you take off, it’s not too bad of a noise so I took the clutch off and cleaned it and re-greased it and I noticed there’s just some slight play in the shaft that the clutch rides on, I’m wondering is that play is normal or what’s the problem. Thanks
I am in a bit of a panic as I am leaving for Hatfield Mcoy in 6 days.I did a 1.5mm shim mod, couldn’t notice much difference except in low gear.I was messing around in the street in front of the house when it started making a funky grinding sound so I pulled in the garage right away and found the 22mm nut was loose. So I pulled the shims out and put everything back together. It starts and revs fine in neutral, but if you try to put it in gear it jumps, starts that grinding sound and stalls.Try to start in gear it feels like your trying to start a stick shift in gear. Please Help!
