03 660 clutch/transmission problem

I’ve got a 03 660 that’s been a basket case since I got it, I’m finally getting around to getting it going. When I start it and put it in gear it doesn’t do anything, I can rev it up but it acts like it’s in neutral.. Any thoughts and suggestions I’d greatly appreciate any help I can get. Thanks in advance

05 grizzly 660 cranks won’t start need help!

So I’m completely lost here. I know I was really low on gas and I had it on the reserve tank when I first tried to start it after filling up but It just won’t start. Yesterday on empty it would try to hold a start only if I kept on the starter button but it wouldn’t keep running. Now I filled it up a little more than half and it will crank but no start. Battery seems fine all fuses are good but when I have the key on and try to use the wench it won’t work and I get a loud click from under the rear rack where all the large gauge wires go to. I can’t get at the spark plug bc all my socket sizes won’t fit. Any advice? I’m trying to ride today and this is killing me.

2006 grizzly 660 clutch kit for high elevation+big tires

Hey guys I’m new here and I picked up an 06 grizzly 660 last year, I do mainly trail riding in the mountains, light mud and sand dunes and it feels pretty under powered. Main reason is for elevation I’m up in Colorado 6000-9000 ft but I’m also running the ITP mud lights 26×10 up front and 26×12 out back. What would be the best clutch kit for me? Or anything else I could do to get more power out of it?

Shim mod.. washers?

I just noticed in another thread a guy mentioned you could get washers from Home Depot to use as shims. Is this true or not accurate info?

Here’s the post:

Civicgsr: "I just noticed home depot had quite a selection of shims in their fastener selection.

Sizes can be. 19-22mm ID and 31-36mm OD

Go to a local fastener supply and get lots ranging from .5-2.2mm. thickness. Then you have lots to play around with for less then ten bucks."

2014 700 Diff Oil Level

What is the best way to check the levels in the diff’s? I know where to check, and what level they are suppose to be at, but how can you tell what level the oil is at? Can’t see anything in that small hole and my finger is to big……I recently had the oil in the diff’s changed at the dealer and today had a small bit of oil on the garage floor under the drain hole. A very small amount. Put my finger on the drain plug and it was wet but not dripping. Just want to be sure.

Thanx

Rolled grizzly – fuel in oil?

Guess I joined the club of people that have rolled their Grizzlies. Have a 2014 grizzly 450 with eps, 50 hours and about 175 miles. Being an idiot this past weekend and runnin around with a buddy on gravel roads. Got cocky and tried some power slides which were fun, until coming back to camp did one last power slide and my right tires caught and I rolled to the right. I was going pretty slow and the grizzly rolled all the way over and landed on the handle bars.

The engine cutoff and I immediately turned it back over (maybe upside down for 30-60 seconds and it sounded like the engine immediately cutoff). Handle bars folded and rear brake lever was pushed down but I righted those pretty easy. Front right rack was bent down and I used a hoist to lift that up and fixed that. I immediately started it back up and it started almost without hesitation after the roll, and rode the rest of the weekend no problems, no smoke or hesitation starting.

I searched through all the posts on here I think and determined I needed to check the air box and oil. Air box was very clean, expect it smelled very strongly of gasoline. Oil looks normal, normal level, however it smells very strong as well, I think of gasoline but not sure. I smelled some unused oil I had from the last oil change and it definitely doesn’t smell the same.

That being said, is there anything I need to worry about or do? How would gas get the oil and how can be sure there’s gas in the oil? It doesn’t seem like the oil level changed.

I am worried about any internal damage to the engine, and thinking about trading it in for a new 2016 grizzly 700 if this one is going to have problems or isn’t going to be reliable. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Great site by the way!

Another grizz that won’t start!!!!

OK, so here it goes, i have a 2001 grizz 600 that won’t start!
Here’s what’s been done so far – the carb has been cleaned out very thoroughly, there is good spark and my fuel is brand new.
I started the set screw at 2 1/2 turns out and have also tried it at various intervals up to about 3 1/2 turns out and still it own’t start.

I have taken the breather box off and have not put it back on because i was taking the carb off a few times, so didn’t see the need in putting it back on until it ran…not sure if this is a good idea or not.
While trying to start it i actually have a spray bottle and i give it a few shots of gas, when i do this i can get the bike to sort of run but for like 2 seconds.
So something leads me to believe that i am not getting gas, but when i cleaned out the carb there was gas in the float bowl area.

This has been an ongoing issue for quite some time now and i would love to get this quad up and running.

Do i need a new carb possibly???
Any help would be AWESOME!!!!!!
