Wet clutch questions

Been doing tons of reading and learning all about how the Grizz cvt works and how to alter it. A few things still seem a bit confusing. What are "slugs" for and what possible benefit do they provide?? And also what is the pupose of "500" and "1000" wet clutch springs?

Just curious on the pros and cons of these items and what they do.

Front Diff Help

I wanted to see if i could get some help determining what i messed up my last ride.

We were all out riding and my friend got stuck so i pulled up behind him and pushed him forward through the hole. Now the bad part. i noticed i was high centered too (front end completely off the ground). I engaged diff lock, but dont remember if i saw the light stop blinking or not but i was about 1/3 throttle trying to rock it (unsuccessfully) when i heard a snap. At first I thought it was my axle and got my friend to pull me out. On dry land I confirmed it was not the axle, we got home and washed up and the next day all my front diff fluid was sitting under it on the floor. The fluid was coming from the front oil seal on the diff.

I have it on jack stands now, atv not on and engaged 4wd to spin the rear wheels to see if the fronts move. They all work correctly ie. holding the front left tire while spinning the rears makes the front left spin and same on the other side. Next i engaged diff lock and it operates properly.

My question is is there any thing i should check of do besides replace the front oil seal? I just want to ake sure nothing actually broke inside the diff.

Thanks in advance for any help!!

Diff Level Plugs

Hey everyone,

Checked my diff fluid and noticed that neither the front nor the rear level plugs have gaskets. The manual indicates gaskets. Its a 2013 550 that I bought used from a dealership. I find it hard to believe that someone would discard them……anyone else notice if their plugs have gaskets??

thanks

Wich bbk to buy

I’m looking for a bbk 734cc I guess, and remember every one saying to get the one from trinity, but I found some
on ebay for $500 with cp piston, is this the same as a trinity kit? It just says new cylinder but don’t mention nothing about trinity, for some reason I can’t copy paste the link on here

Please advise
Thanks,
Jorge

Cylinder nickasíl wear questions

Hey guys, I’m replacing the piston on the grizzly and found these marks from the rings, it’s scored up where I took the pics but the cylinder has the indentation of the rings all the way around at the top and at the bottom, bike has less than 100 hours, is this normal?

Should I replace the jug or just Re nikasil it??

And what’s a good place to have it redone??

Thanks.
