I actually have two issues/questions. I have a 2009 grizzly 550 and my riding buddy has a 2010 grizzly 700. His started making a snapping/knocking noise in the front when going over bumps. Sounded like maybe the cvs were getting ready to go. His dealer replaced both. Noise is still there and quite bad. You can create the noise by pulling out quickly on the tire/wheel. One side is a lot worse than the other. I checked mine by pulling hard on the wheel and I get no snap on one side but other side I do but not near as much as his. Any idea what this could be? I was thinking perhaps wheel bearing? But if that was the case wouldn’t the dealer have noticed how bad his was when replacing the cv. The cv slides into that wheel bearing does it not.
Other question. Is there any difference or update between 2009 and 2010 with the power steering. I find very little assist on my 550 compared to his. Night and day really. His feels like Polaris power steering to me when I get on it. His turn radius is also half of mine. We have same tires. The steering toe in seems to be fine on mine. There is no way there should be that much difference. Wondering if mine is working at all when I compare it to his. I turn atv on eps comes on then off. Which is normal from what I have read. Any thoughts on these two issues?
I have been looking for a new bumper for my recently purchased 660. Can’t seem to find a whole lot of them that are still available. Has anyone seen or used this one before? Grizzly Or any other suggestions?
Sitting here wondering why we chose the color Grizzly that we do, my 09′ is Green,my son’s is camo, I did not want to be seen in places. We don’t ride there anymore, now wondering what color?
More specific, my dealer has a red left over Grizz, wondering if I would like red, love Burgundy, my all time favorite Grizzly color, just trying to work through red.
would like some advice on tube bender dies. gonna build a rock bouncing style chassis with ATV/UTV running gear. i’ll be using 3/4"-1 1/4" DOM tubing. my question is for this pipe size what would be the best CLR/RADIUS dies, 3.5", 4.5" or 6"? thanks
Picked me up a grizz the other day but who had it before me broke the rear mount for the rear dif and then welded on a new plate for it, it’s my understanding that the factory mounts broke easy. Well when they welded it on it is crooked and they screwed up the rear a arm mounts. Is there any way I can fix it?
Hey guys, I’m looking for some fender flares for my 2014 grizzly 450. After putting offset rims on my quad I find myself getting dirty when I’m not trying to haha.
hello all, is there a trick or special tool to remove the old bearing race out of the swing arm..and any recomendations about what type of bearing grease to pack the new ones with? thanks
So I let one of my idiot friends ride my 2009 700 eps, he says he hit a rock at 5mph. Well anyway, he bent the left tie rod severely and broke the top of the front diff servo. So those two things need to be replaced. What I can’t figure out is with the tires straight, the bars are tweaked to the left quite a bit. The bars are not bent, and neither is the clamp where they attach. Also can’t see anything wrong with the piece where the tie rod ends attach. I’m at a loss as to what else to check, I took off two bolts on the steering column "clamp" and tried to hold the tires and push the bars back to no avail. They won’t budge. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks ahead of time guys
I am thinking of a shock upgrade. Elka seems to be the go to. We ride a lot of trails with lots of rocks. Usually have a chainsaw up front with gear in a box. Can someone point me to a Elka shock model that would fit my needs on hy 700?
