Elka Shocks

Had a informative talk with Sebastian at Elka today.
Here is what he told me.
The $1199 shocks, are now named the "Legacy" they are basically the old Stage 3. The $1199 price is not a sale price, they will remain at that price, and continue to be available.

The new stage 3 shocks are completely changed body and internal valving, and are for the sport atv’s.

He highly recommends the extra rebound adjustment in the front.

The completion time he says is approximately a month.

660 front upper A-arm replaceable ball joint quest

I’m sure this has been beaten to death but my search function isn’t working right now. I want what all us 660 riders want, replaceable upper ball joints. So from all y’all I need some questions answered.
1- Do the upper and lower ball joint have same taper through the knuckle? (Will lower ball joint physically bolt into upper knuckle position?)
2-I need dimensions of the 700 upper a arm to see if they’re modify-able to fit on 660. (This would depend on ball joint taper of course)
3- does anyone currently make aftermarket arms with replaceable joints? If not, why the F not!?
I am very capable of fabricating an modifying these arms, I just need some info without tearing mine apart just yet. (Mine are tight still but want to have a solution before I need to buy whole upper a arm.
Cheers from East Coast Canada. Justin

rear backet system for 2015?

I am thinking about getting of of those rack extender baskets that hangs off the rear of the rack for more luggage space. but i am not finding much that will work for the 14’s and 15’s anybody using any of these products?
i am wanting for hunting season, usually i have one large waterproof gear bad in the middle and a 5 gallon fuel tank on each side of the bag along with other odd and end things. I am looking to still have the rack and have the basket for other bags or fuel.

Radiator shroud question

I did some good mud riding on the weekend and when I was washing it noticed all the mud and debris was obviously caked in front of the rad. My question is has anyone ever cut the shroud at the bottom of the rad to let the mud and debris fall out or get washed out easier. Or does this expose it more to sticks and anything else that could puncture the rad. To me even an if an inch of the plastic cut out of the way would help.

Thanks
