Always Something on a wiring job

i am working on a 2010 rzr the charging system wasnt charging due to a broke wire which took hours of tracing which i fixed now charging.

But now when key is in the on position
one of the white/red which is n slot C gets really hot which i know is not right, and the red wire which is in the D slot gets hot when u switch on the awd switch.

could it be that its not grounded under the dash some where or not suppose to have a constant 12V supply (which the red wire in slot D does)

Your imput please

I am thinking of having engine work done on 08 rzr. I was thinking of taking it down to Alba racing to have the work done. I would really like to hear from all y’all about their work, anything good, bad, or indifferent. If the good out weights the bad I will take it to them. Your honest information will be most useful.
Thank you very much.

i just bought a new Rzr 1000s and im basically going to use it for deep water and mud and gravel roading. i wanted to put a 32 or 33 inch mud tires on and a 14in wheel but i been told by others that not to put a really aggressive tire on because it will just tare up the differentials and other drive parts any one have any experiences with this and what wheel tire set up is everyone going with thanks

Bert’s UTV

So if you are on the west coast you probably have heard of Bert’s UTV. I recently stopped in to see what they had, ended up walking out with a new Rzr. lol

I then had the shocks redone, installed, and went to dial them in. As I was riding through the desert, I was staring at the wheel and not paying attention. Well I ended up in a ditch, bent the upper and lower a-arms, and took a shot at my pride.

I live in Vegas, called local shops to find they don’t have them in stock, and couldn’t get them in time for Halloween. I even shopped online, called Rocky Mtn, etc.

So I turned to my salesman at Bert’s. His name is Art Wood. I explained the pinch I am in, explained Halloween at Dumont, and asked if he had any pull at Polaris. He was very confident he could help.

After spending the money for expedited shipping, and asking them not to waste time, I received the arms on a Saturday.

I opened the box to find a brand new set of arms, for the wrong side! I was so bummed. Now I decided to call Art simply to thank him for his urgency, and let him know I appreciated the help. Mistakes happen. However, I do realize that there is no way to get them to me by Wednesday, in time for me to leave on Thursday.

At 9:00 at night on Sunday, Art called me at home. He said he has a plan and he will call me in the morning.

Monday morning he then called me to let me know he drove an hour out of the way, but found a set of used arms, excellent condition, and will be sending them to me next day air.

Now, even if these are not the correct ones, or wrong side, whatever, the service I received is worth noting. You get what you pay for they say. But then there is 5 star service that doesn’t happen everyday.

If you are ever near Bert’s UTV, say hi to Art Wood, and see what service is about.

Rear hub bushings worn out?

I have a 2014 RZR 800 XC. Both rear tires have about 1/8 inch of play. The upper and lower outer hub bushings are a little loose. The bushings seem to only have about .030 looseness, but when multiplied by the diameter of the tires, it’s about 1/8 inch. Would you be concerned with this? I don’t like it, but I also don’t like spending several hundred dollars for new bushings, not knowing if all of the play will disappear. I found Delrin bushings at UTV Inc. Says they fit an 800, BUT will they fit an XC? Do those bushings replace all of the original parts, including the original steel sleeves? There’s play from the bolts to the steel sleeves, AND from the sleeves to the plastic bushings. I would think that there should be no play whatsoever. Anyone know? Ted
