Engine Hot/ Radiator Cool? Help

Went riding this past weekend and RZR was running great. Left out for a poker run and after about a hour temp light came on as I was in the middle of a climb out of a steep hill. I think it went in limp mode, like it was running on one cylinder. Made it to top of hill and killed it, didnt really want to mess with it out in the middle of the woods. Got towed back to camp and by this time it was cooled down so I fired it back up and noticed the engine was hot but the radiator was cool? It was saturday night after a good weekend so loaded it up in the toyhauler and called it a night. Bad water pump? Stuck thermostat? Or air in sytem? Could use so help trouble shooting to see if water pump is working properly and also where is the bleed screw for burping the system? My over flow bottle has been empty for a while, could it have been sucking air in the system through the over flow bottle? The radiator being cool is got stumped while the engine is hot! 13 RZR 800 Crank sensor troubles!

Greetings, first post but have been reading for weeks.

I bought a ’13 RZR 800 S EPS from an insurance sale that was a theft recovery. After a new battery, fluid changes, plugs, fresh gas, etc. it fired right up.

However, over about 1/3 throttle it cuts out exactly like a rev limiter. If I ease into it I can go a little faster than if I mash the gas, but regardless once speed is matched and I need more pedal the same thing happens. I dont recall exact rpm this happens at, and will double check it in the AM. I assume somewhere around 2500 rpm. If I back off the throttle it will continue to move around 10 mph, and if I hold pedal to the floor it will eventually die and sometimes throw a 636 code. So I pulled the engine and replaced the flywheel to be safe in case teeth for recluctor were messed up, and installed a new crank sensor. Same thing. Read another user had a similar issue with a weak fuel pump, and thought while I could fix it, this is a good excuse to upgrade to the Walbro, so I did. Same thing.

I am extremely frustrated with this thing, and after pouring over the forums for 2 weeks I am finally at a loss. Any help would be greatly appreciate.

08 Ranger Razor problems

I have an 08 Ranger/Razor 800 efi
I bought it about a year ago and it ran great. I washed it about 2 weeks after getting it and it has all been down hill from there.
Now when you start it. It runs extremely rough like on one cylinder. If you try to back it up or go forward 99% of the time it will die and not start. It sounds like the starter does not turn over the motor. It will not engage the motor.
If you do get it to start and let it sit for about 10 minutes it seems like the efi recalibrates and it will back up and run a little better. And if you give it much gas it dies. But if you baby it A LOT :redrzr:it will come out of this situation and run eventually. But it always back fires when you let up off the gas pedal. Once it has been running for about 20 minutes or so it runs pretty good but still not like the first day I bought it.

Super ATV Gear Driven Performance Portal Lift

I have a 2015 RZR 900 Trail (50" wide). I recently added the 4" Super ATV Portal Lift. The kit retails for $2899 which seems like a lot but there is more here than just a lift. This kit gives you lift and performance. When I added the lift I also added Rhino axles for good measure. I’m running 29.5" Terminators, 9" wide in front and 12" wide in the rear. The 75hp 900 spins the Terminators like they’re stock with the 30% gear reduction. My top speed went from 63mph to 50mph. The axles have no angle with this lift at all and there isn’t any need for clutching. These portals offer so much more than lift. This is truly my favorite upgrade so far. If you rock crawl or do some serious mudding this is a solid choice. Install was easy, it bolts right up to your stock a arms and axles. I have pushed these portals through mud, water, and skeg. I have yet to find any limitations for these portals. If you have them please share your experience below. I’d love to hear what others think of it. I think Super Atv hit a home run here.:redrzr:

Engine Boggs down under load. Fuel pump testing

I’m not an not an engineer in fluid dynamics and certainly not an expert on RZR fuel systems.
But I tend to think that a regulator, whether gas, liquid, or voltage, is supposed to regulate!
I would expect a regulator set at 39 psi would have a supply of greater than 39 psi.
The regulator would then allow pressures of 39 lbs of less to go to the injectors. Any pressure over 39 would open the internal valve and allow the excess to be bled off back to the tank through the fuel return line.
To maintain pressures of 39 psi during full throttle, the pump would have to be capable of higher pressures. I would expect a flow of fuel returning to the tank with engine off or at idle, meaning that you would have a minimum of 39 psi and the regulator is regulating!
If you have a weak pump as the injectors open, the pressure would drop.
Trying to reason through this.
My 08. 800 Boggs down at about 30 mph up hill and is getting worse. Just replaced tank and pump with aftermarket parts about 300 miles ago.
I’m going to build an inline gauge set up to monitor the pressure under load. I will let you know what I find out.
Any thoughts on my analysis, let know.

2011 800 weird problem

To start off its a 2011 rzr walker evans edition, Machine was running great when it was parked and it sit for about a week and decided to go take a ride.Went to start machine and everything turn on like it should except the fuel pump will not prime until you put the key to the start position with out touching the brake, the fuel pump wont actuate at all if i touch the brake though. I replaced the brake switch, starter solinoid, battery and key switch cause those are all common problems. While doing research ive seen people with the same problems and it was due to a bad ground but I cant find what they are grounding. This is one of the weirdest problem that ive seen in a rzr. Also the gear indicator doesn’t come on until I press the brake and turn to key to the start position but will go back off after 10 seconds.

This answer has probably been answered already but ive searched all over the forum and cant find a solution. Thx in advance

clutch problems part 2

I changed drive belt, didn’t work, I installed new primary clutch, still hitting rev limiter at 6200. I noticed the new belt is riding flush with secondary, not above. Do you think the new belt is already stretched after a few miles on old primary?
