Took my new 2015 RZR 1000 XP4 out this weekend and had a blast. I’ve been very careful, but in one moment I was shifting between low and reverse and visa versa and got a short Rattling/Grinding Noise from the drivetrain. I suppose "drivetrain" is the correct term (I’m not a mechanic). I suspected I was not fully in gear. After moving the shifter back and forth a time or two, it worked fine and no more problems. Perhaps I’m over reacting a bit, but
A) Is that common for this to happen between gears if it’s not fully locked in?
B) Is it likely to have damaged anything or do so in the future?
Thanks! I suspect it’s okay, but I’m hoping to be comforted by people that know more about the mechanics of it that I.
So my 13′ xp900 had a lot a squeaks and stuff. Which I don’t mind. But.. When I’m on a road where I can really pay attention I hear a weird noise from what sounds like the front end. It’s sounds kinda like a grinding noise. The problem is I have the alba pipe so it’s loud and I have a hard time figuring out what’s normal and what’s not. The only thing in the front end I can see MIGHT be bad is the diff. I’m not sure if it’s normal but my drive shafts have about 1/8" play up and down side to side. Is it normal for them to move at all?
Can anyone verify what clutch weights are stock in a 2015 xp1k2. Wanting to lighten up a touch for bigger tires but haven’t pulled the clutch cover to see what stock is. I’m thinking they are 26-68 but I may be wrong.
08 800 rzr broke a belt and found I was missing 2buttons on the spider. Went to remove it and broke a little piece out of the clutch see picture. After got the spider removed I found the button have wore a grove in the clutch. Can I put new buttons on and run with the groves and missing chunk or and I the new winner of a primary clutch? Thank you guys in advance
I was riding over the weekend and hit a tree stump in a mud pit on a trail. I didn’t hit it too hard but got stuck and reversed and turned to kind of straddle it. I started driving away and heard a ticking noise. Drove slow out of the woods pulled over checked axles, cases etc.. nothing looked out of the ordinary. Limped it back to the truck pulled the skid and see there was a crack in the factory skid and the little black spacer that holds the 2 coolant lines apart was off and the coolant line was a hair pushed over into the driveshaft. Nothing busted and we ended up taking the black spacer and putting it back and zip tying the lines into place away from the shaft and the sound went away.
Is there anything I can do to help this (I’m ordering Factory UTV UHMW 1/2" Skids as we speak) but I’m curious about the zip tie holding up on the coolant lines and I’m afraid to bend those lines too much in fear of cracking one.

I have a 2011 rzr 800s and it recently threw a code 636 with the small 2 under it. Now I feel like an idiot to ask this, but is a crankshaft position sensor and the crankshaft phase sensor the same thing? And is it the plug that’s right by the oil filter on the passenger side? I can’t find anything that looks like the position sensor when you google it, it looks like the phase sensor? Just a small black plug attached to the motor with a small bolt.
I have a 2015 xp4 1000 that started randomly engaging 4×4, has low end vibration, and front end pops when taking off in 2×4. My dealer said 3-4 weeks waiting time just to look at it, anyone have some input?
Over the weekend we were doing some casual trail riding (nothing to cause any kind of damage) after riding for a short period of time we lost Low gear (it does not show L on the dash or move just Revs up) we continued to ride in High and shortly after we lost it also again not showing on the dash or moving just Revs up. We know it’s not the cable we moved through each gear manually just fine. Any suggestions???
