Please help me figure out what happened?

I have a 2014 RZR 800 EPS that has less than 200 miles on it. Yesterday we were out on the ATV on a rugged trail in low gear going down hill and the engine just cut out. Attempts to restart would not work and I tried everything I could think of to figure out what was going on included cycling the key, trying different gears, put it in neutral and drifted to a more level spot, etc. Nothing worked. The display had the check engine light and the power steering light lit. I could hear the fuel pump kicking on but it would make no attempt to start.

So defeated, my fiancée and I started to take the long walk of shame back to our vehicle and trailer. It took us 2 hours of walking through the mountains and then a hard road all up hill to get there. Anyway, we went to the area where the RZR had quit and I walked down the trail and jumped in and the @#$A thing fired right up like nothing ever happened! It ran fine, had adequate power and pulled itself up out of there where I loaded it up on the trailer and brought it home.

Do any of you have any idea what caused all of this? I have done some searches on here and the internet and I am coming up empty with nothing similar. Any help or advice you can supply is greatly appreciated!

Which clutch spring!?!

which clutch spring is everyone running on the Dalton setup? im just not getting all the rpm out of it (2008 rzr non "s")
I was reading that some used the "s" modle main clutch spring with good results others say the stiff spring from Dalton is the way to go

oil/soot in throttle body?

im changing the oil pump and water pump seals also checking the rear diff nut on a friends `09 800 have helped him service it in the past and came across an issue ive not seen on mine when we pulled the throttle body to pull the motor there was oily soot on the engine side of the throttle butterfly but the filter side is clean along with the rest of the intake tract. i pulled the intake itself and the head down around the valves looks fine its just in the TB itself. it has the updated airbox to TB boot and he always uses an oem filter element he also has my version of the grumpymod. engine ran perfect with no smoke( he uses rotella 15w40 like i do) and its never used any oil to speak of. why is there black oily buildup only past the TB butterfly and not before? just wanted another opinion as like i said ive not come across this on my other RZRs. also we checked compression when we serviced it in the spring and it was around 165 on both cylinders and he says it hasnt lost any power or changed in the way its running that he can tell.

Xp4 battery not charging

I Need your input please . I have a 2014 xp4 900. I recently installed a new battery Napa 30 lbs sealed battery. After riding 2 hours in the trails, the battery voltage keeps dropping until 10v. After turning engine off, it won’t start. I noticed the aux fan won’t come on and temp will rise when voltage gets low.
What is causing my voltage to be low. How can I test my VR if it’s bad.
Any advise is appreciated.

2010 rzr 800s nightmare please help

Hello everyone i have a 2010 rzr 800s with a severe running issue. I have done my home work i have checked all the basics compression, leakdown, spark, injectors and injector pulse everything is in good working condition when you first start the machine it runs smooth and normal. as soon as you hit the gas it start missing and dumping raw fuel out of the exhaust. there is no change switching injectors or plugs ive tryed new plugs a new ecu and the fuel pressure is good i am at a loss i havent rode the machine more than five miles and then all this happens any ideas would be greatly appreciated :sad::sad:
