Hey guys. I got the engine all back together and back in the RZR on my 2013 RZR 800S. It sucked in water and trashed the engine (bent rods etc). I just noticed the two lower (head side) o-rings on my injectors are both split when I went to re-mount the rail. It looks like they are green on the outside/black on the inside, and split between the material if these are two-shot o rings.
I see polaris does not sell just these. I’m wanting to get this thing started today if possible, so local replacement would be best if there is anything. I’ve heard A/C o-rings, regular gasoline resistant o-rings, and someone even mentioned just the regular black 9/16 x 5/16 x 1/8 (#31) o-rings from ACE for a replacement. Can someone give any validity to any of these as replacements, and confirm they won’t break down from engine heat/gas?
How much play should I have in the front output shafts on my 2009 RZR S?
I just replaced the wheel bearings & upper and lower ball joints.
I have it all back together and there seems to be about 1/8" or more play in the output shafts.
Just got this machine and it has been used and abused and I am trying to restore some life in the old girl.
Intake valves are tight, manual says I need this part to work on them. CYLINDER HOLDING & CAMSHAFT TIMING PLATE. Do I really need this? I have never needed any special tools for my Yamaha.
On the XP1000 trans, is there a spacer between the secondary clutch and the trans housing?
I just got an STM clutch that goes on an XP1000 trans for a build I’m doing and there’s a seal that looks like it has an inner lip that a spacer of some sort fits in. I know on some CVT setups that there’s a spacer between the clutch snout and the bearing in the trans. I’ve looked on a couple of web sites that have parts fiches and can’t find anything.
I guess I should probably just call STM and find out – need to order a belt for the project anyhow.
Just bought a 2014 1000 with 650 miles. Has Rhino front axles, Super Atv high clearance front arms, 5" Highlifter lift, RCV ball joints, with 32" Roctanes. PO says he just replaced front wheel bearings. I took it to dealer for check up & they say it needs all 4 wheel bearings, lower a arm bushings, tie rod ends & a front diff. He showed me play @ the diff on both sides where the half shaft mates. He says he doubts it is the shafts because they are the aftermarket Rhinos. MY QUESTION IS how much play is too much play? My wife has a new 2014 with 50 miles & hers has play, maybe not as much. I don’t feel any play in tie rods or lower a arm bushings.
Dealer says the Roctanes have killed everything. Also recommends rear diff (same play as front), rear drive shaft (lots of play @ rear), & upper trailing arms bushings & sway bar bushings (does slide side to side). I Was going to buy high clearance rear rods anyway.
I know it is impossible to tell w/o seeing, but is this slop common?
2011 800 standard 50" 2200km. – Snorkelled and vented
I had the rear box/bed off to change the exhaust donut so I washed the back of the machine down with a garden hose. When I put it back in the garage I noticed a steady drip drip of oil coming off the belly pan by the rear passenger tire.
Is it possible I’ve dislodged a hose or sensor with the garden hose? (Not a pressure washer)
I can’t tell where its coming from yet and thought I would put it out to the forum for advise before pulling my hair out.
I have an 08 rzr 800 around 3500 miles. It rides fine for about 10 minutes then starts to sputter and lose power will sometimes ride fine in between sputtering at different rpms but not for long. I am going to clean the gas tank out tomorrow. Any other suggestions I am kind of lost here. :redrzr:
