Little more valve help

You guys helped me a few weeks ago with my valves and I just got back home to finish it up. I have the cam sprockets lined up with TDC. Every time I go to tighten the carriers down the intake cam will all of a sudden shift and the intake came will be off. How do I keep this from shifting?

rzr primary and secondary clutch help needed

Hey guys.

This is for my 2013 rzr 800s.
I recently purchased a primary clutch off this site and when I got it in, one of the fins on the rear of the stationary sheave was broken. Has anyone else broken one of these, and is it OK? To me it seems like it would cause some imbalance and I don’t want to damage the crank or anything. I also attached a picture of the slider bearing behind the spider. Does this look messed up? Its like the finish is coming off of it.

Also, when I am driving the RZR, and let off the gas, when the primary begins to spread apart again, the secondary seems to hold open for a slight period (causing slop in the belt since it is no longer engaged to the primary which has begun traveling back open) then the secondary begins to move back together which causes a "whirring" sound and what feels like EBS. Is this normal, and have I just never noticed this before? It seems noisy. The cover was off for this when I was noticing all of this, so I could see what was going on.

Thank you in advance for any help.

Nick

Pcv valve question

Has anyone had the Pcv valve get plugged and have the xp use oil. I have oil on the filter on the end of the hose. My uncle has had that happen on an old car. I have never heard of it before or know how to check.

O8 trans problems

I recently purchased an 08 rzr.overall machine is in good condition other than the trans.
I have the typical no detent balls,no gear display and flying out of gear problems that i have read many post here on the forum about.

Here is my question. If I pull the trans and replace anything that is bad, broken or worn and basically rebuild the trans back to factory condition can I expect the problems to crop back up.

I purchased a ranger new in 11 and after a few rides installed a brake line lock for parking and never had to worry about "jerking it out of park"again.

so basically is the 08 trans worth the trouble or do I need to consider a new model trans .or is there upgrade parts I need to consider.

Clunking when taking off at slow speeds.

Just got back from a decent trip yesterday in the muskeg with a big group and lots of winching. When I was winching someone I heard a nice clunk of bang, almost like the rzr was in park. Afterwards when taking off there now seems to be a rolling clunk, can only notice at low speeds… Almost like when you put it in park and it rolls a few clicks downhill, with a bit more of a clunk to it.

Was wondering where people would look first for problems when I go out to wash it this morning and inspect it. I checked the CV’s on the trail, all seemed fine. The 4WD is working, although the ride out the engine seemed to work a ton harder. Not really sure where to look first, any input would be appreciated.

Thank you for your time!

Can someone point me in the right direction for clutching??

So while id consider myself pretty mechanically inclined (wrench for a living lol) I’m lost with clutching.

13′ xp900, 28" mongerals, dalton clutch weights and spring.

At the dunes this last weekend (little sahara utah) i couldnt make it up sand mntn, when last time i did. Didnt notice rpm last time but this time i watched and noticed in high middle of the hill id be about 7600rpm, in low id be 8100rpm (rev limiter through the whoops at the bottom when in low) …. in high or low i still power out and have to turn before im screwed and stuck haha , the thing seems perfect literally everywhere (moab, mountians, desert, fast, slow whatever) but am i right thinking that not holding 8100ish in high is leaving power on the table?
It does hold 81-8200(if i recall correctly) on flat ground.

All that ramble aside: i dont wanna sacrifice how well it does everywhere else just for that little bit more at the dunes. I dont ride the dunes that often, but if there is a way to make it right everywhere that would be sweet. Also can someone explain "shifting" i keep reading about with the clutch? I assume thats just transition from low to high gear ratios, but could be wrong

Also: doing a slip on, intake, and alba fi controller, will i needa screw with the clutch?

Anyone willing to provide some links i can find good reading material and teach myself some that would be great, as would anyone that could take time to break basic operation/adjusting to me that would be great too.

Thanks in advance –justin

2011 rzr800. to start off i started riding about 10 mins everything died, replaced the fuse where the 30 amp and 20 amp are in the left rear wheel well, started hard and ran on one cyclinder, died and blew ecu/efi fuse under the dash replaced that and doesnt idle. I took the injectors out and when you cycle the key only the back injector opens, i swapped the injectors and still only the back injector opens, when i turn the key on the back injector harness gets 12v the front only gets 8volts, I checked the ecu plug clean and tight. what is my issue
