I’m visiting Las Vegas from Georgia and would love to get some time on the Dunes. Does anyone know of the names, websites or phone numbers of places where I can rent a UTV on the Dunes? Looking for a 2-8 hour experience.

Hello fellow motor heads! making a first time visit to Pismo Beach area during the Christmas holiday and was looking for reccomendations on the best place to rent quads or rzrs. We are used to fast and powerful so the more of that the better. Does anyone rent 1000 renegades or rzrs?

I was planing on either going to dumont or glamis on Christmas Day for 4-5 days. Has anyone been around that time and know if it’s usually packed. Or have any input on which one is better to go around that time. Thanks

I know that this maybe a very out there question, and I joined the forums to see if anyone would help a young guy out from Georgia.

I will be traveling from Georgia to Sacramento in December for a business trip. I have two free days December 9th & 10th and my plans where to rent a car and drive down to Oceano (since that is the closest dunes near Sacramento) and rent a side-by-side. But according to all the rental companies to rent what I really want to rent I have to be 40 years old. Seems a little crazy to me but I do understand. I am 27 years old and a home I own Polaris XP Turbo, but the rental companies will not work with me. It has been on my bucket list to ride in the California dunes for years (Glamis would be preferred). But I am not going to ride 4 hours to go and rent a small 4 wheeler and not enjoy myself.

My question is this, will anyone be out there on December 9th or 10th? that would be willing to just let me ride? I am not asking to drive unless they got to know me and would allow me to drive at least once. I really would like to either ride in a sand-rail, baja truck, or a nice tricked out RZR. Or would any of you guys happen to know of someone I could get in touch with that would allow me to ride along? I will be more than glad to pay any of you some cash to allow me this, lunch, gas, beer whatever would help you guys out.

Please let me know, and if this post is not welcome I totally understand Im just trying to make a dream come true. Thank you guys for you time and I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Anyone going, or want to go to the dunes before the snow flies? Weather looks like it’s going to hold up. I have a campsite seserved at Buffalo Nov 12-15th and there is a few left.

Can the folks who like to go to Sand Hollow, please provide us with some information about the dunes and camping?

We have been going to Dumont, Glamis, Coral Pink and Saint Anthony’s a LOT and for some reason, we drove right past Sand Hollow.

We have seen some of the YouTube videos and are mainly interested in running dunes or trails, not into the crawling scene.

We are curious about things like:

Which tires work best, Sand or Desert?

Is the sand similar to the talcum powder of Coral Pink?

For those who have hit some of the other dunes listed, which ones would seem similar to Sand Hollow?

How hard or easy is it to get camp sites?

Any other helpful info?
