antifreeze leaking PLEASE HELP

It’s leaking from the rubber groomet on the top of the cat on the coolant jug.. I tried black gasket maker on it to seal it and it didn’t work. I called my dealership and he said he could put silicone on it or replace the groomet but he warned me that everyone’s that he has replaced went back to leaking after the next 2 rides. I’m sick of adding coolant after every ride or two. I paid a boatload for this bike for it to be doing this. Should I try silicone? 2016 Xmr 650 a lot of bumpy terrain where I ride

STM primary and secondary

I’m considering purchasing an STM primary and secondary for my XMR.
STM recommended the Rage 3P and there Tuner secondary.
Does anyone have any feedback they could share with me?

tire choice….

hey guys im ordering some black mamba`s.. i was about to order the 30s but i seen they have 32.5s…. honestly what would i have to do to fit them and not always rub?

would a 2" highlifter lift fit the 32s?

Washing the xmr 1000 today . Come to find out my 20k machine has also melted seat and plastic just like my 2012 xmr 800 . Disappointed!!

What’s ‘XMR’ stand for?

I got: eXtreme Maintenance Required.

Every time I take the pig out I gotta spend hours washing it, taking it apart and inspecting and fixing whatever’s broke, or nearly broke.

For a weekend’s hard riding I probably spend a day or two working on it.

Opps!

So, I made a big opps and have no idea what to do. I checked all my fluids and water before I went for a ride and apparently I cross threaded in my oil cap. Problem is, when it went in it felt snug so I considered it in. Sadly, it was only in about 3 threads and water got in the oil.

Here’s my problem, I’m really not sure what to do. I’ve got full coverage plus the atv insurance but I doubt any of these would cover this. Any suggestions?

2015 XMR 100 hr service issues

So today I tackled the 25, 50, and 100 maintainance items. Got a couple of wtf where they thinking on this bike. First of all look at the photos below. Owners manual says 75/140 oil for the rear dif yet it is stamped 75/90!? Filled it will 75/140 but wonder why they have that stamp…..

How the F do you replace the front cylinder spark plug? It appears the cvt exhaust "redirect" is in the way and is impossible to remove. Stock cvt snorkels are also in the way and sealed so I dont want to unseal them…anyone replace theirs yet?

Just FYI. The service manual says to remove the 2 rear bolts from the airbox to remove the throttle body…. Yeah well that plastic will break when you try to pry the throttle body out. Also you have to loosen the front bolts of the airbox (nut is hidden and difficult to get to) in order to reinstall it. Won’t be doing that again as it was spotless at 93 hours.

Everything else was ok to figure out/ service. Didn’t do the pressure tests as everything is spotless and running perfect.
