Power steering erratic and weak.

My 2012 Renegade 1,000 XXC has always had a funny sounding power steering unit, but it usually worked, so I never got excited about the noises. Well, today it stopped working! :th_smiliefrustrated It works at times and then it does not work at times and you need to muscle that beast around. Its VERY obvious when the power steering does NOT assist because I have it set to Max assist.

Any suggestions on what all to check?

It does work sometimes, so its not a completely dead unit, so its going to be a hassle to diagnose it I think.

FYI my machine has about 1,500 miles on it and stock suspension and tires.

Thanks in advance!

Problems filling rad relocate

So I was servicing my 2013 renegade 800 and decided to take the rad off and clean it. While it was off I rerouted some hoses on my rad relocate and put it back together. I installed a T at the top for ease of filling and still had problems with getting air out of the system. I know there is threads about it but has anyone found a easy way to fill them and get all the air out?

Timing help ASAP

Ok guys major problem here, I’ve watched every video read every thread tried every way, I’m installing a set of super mags
First time I got it done turned it by hand binding, looked rear exhaust valves fully open piston at tdc? Double check, all marks correct not even off 1 tooth
So retimed other way, turned freely, try to start, no go, firing plugs on exhaust stroke, so tear down again, retimed rear cylinder first, than turned counter clockwise until #1 in hole, timed front cylinder up, turned engine over by hand, now front exhaust valves hitting piston
HELP!!! Why what is this issue here
Yes correct cam is in correct spot, lash set properly, timing marks line up every time but still a big issue I need this done asap

’09 Renegade dead as a door nail

So the bike has 0 electrical power. Nothing. Would the starter solenoid be the cause? Or would the bike power up but not crank over if it’s faulty?
I bought the bike used. Only 735 miles. Test drove ok. Took it for a short rip with no problems also – except it stalled once but I was riding through shallow water and getting wet. Fired up right away. Fired it up in the garage a time or two since. Also installed new winch. Have "powered up" the bike numerous times also without issue.
The other day went to fire it up but won’t power up. Did some poking around with my meter & think the cause is the solenoid as there is power going to it but not out of it with the key on & the kill switch engaged. I’m not the handiest man on a meter but can find my way around a little. The battery has over 12V. Front & rear fuses are good. Connections at battery & solenoid are clean.
