Renegade upgraded to 30’s.. No lift

Welp 30" silverbacks fit without a lift for sure.. Had to do the floor board mod.. And I need 1" wheel spacers because the front tie rods hit the tires.. Oh and idk about the wheels yet.. I plan to paint them black.. But here’s it is.. Before on 27" outlaw skinny.. To 30" backs skinny/wide

Dilemma.. Can use opinions on deciding..

So my current setup is on skinnys, 27×9.5 outlaws on hd wheels.. A friend wants smaller tires so is willing to trade straight up for his skinny/wide 30" silverbacks on can am commander xt wheels, so they’re the 14’s..

The dilemma, I have always wanted bigger tires, but lately with my bike randomly breaking here and there I’m skeptical now.. I like how fast mine is still with the 27’s.. Not sure how the bike will look with that wheel setup, and I don’t know how it will perform with just my dalton clutch kit and those 30’s..

IM sure it’s been over talked about, but the power loss, probability of breaking stuff, and durability of the bike worth the trade for the 30’s? Can the bike handle them and perform well still.. I am a hard nose rider, I go off in the deep, in thicket and everything..

Pretty much what would you guys do?? Oh and if anyone happens to have a picture of a renegade on those xt wheels, post it please

Which power steering kit?

So I’ve finally decided that it’s time for me to add power steering to my 08 Renegade 800 after driving a new Outlander with power steering for a whole day. The question is which power steering kit should I buy? Should I purchase all of the power steering components from the 08 X-Edition of the Renegade, or should I buy it from an aftermarket manufacturar? If you think I should buy it aftermarket, please let me know which brand you guys run and which would be the best/most reliable.

Another question is that I have a Precision Steering Stabilizer that came installed on the bike when I bought it. Do I need to get rid of this to install the power steering? BTW I’ve never checked or looked over the Stabilizer in the 2 years I’ve had the bike, and truthfully I am not even sure how it functions. Thanks

DPS fails after 20 minutes why?

My 2012 Renegade 1000 XXC runs perfect for 20 minutes and then after that the power steering completely stops working and the check engine light comes on and check DPS flashes non stop on the dash.

Any suggestions why this is happening and what you guys did to fix this?

It just leads me to think its possibly heat related or something, because the DPS works perfect when I shut it off and start it back up the next day.

It really sucks driving a DPS unit with a dead DPS. :th_smiliefrustrated

Thanks in advance!

Only real mods I have are fan controller set at 160, Full Muzzy and forcejohn’s tuner. Running on 25 inch Big Horn 2.0’s, so its not a huge tire issue.
