So I just got home from the shop for the bad spark plug… Unloaded the quad and as soon as I started going forward the throttle stuck wide open. I killed it of course.
Tried shifting gears up and down, turning the wheel etc…. Nothing helped. Popped the plastic and followed what I believe is the throttle wire and I don’t see and kinks or bends or anything… I pulled and pushed on it a tiny bit to try to get it unstuck… No luck.
Now it doesn’t start. Turns over nicely but doesn’t fire up. I know my airfilter is junk, there’s one on order but I’d like to move it from where it is. Any thoughts?
After seeing a few others here LIFT their machines to gain access to grease etc underneath, I got up into the Attic area above my 10′ high garage floor.
I bolted a 2 X 6 and two 2 X 4s across and above two ceiling/roof joists (24" OC) and dropped a HEAVY CHAIN down a hole in the center and attached a large 1/4" (800#) Quick Link to the chain. That LINK is a perfect fit for the HOOK on the winch cable. Backed the quad in, hooked up the winch hook and UP IT WENT. The Buckets etc are a "just in case" and in the pic, there is probably <200 lb ‘resting’ on each side. GREASE JOB tomorrow.

Headed down to ride hatfield McCoy trails in a few weeks and I’ve never been there so I’m wondering what’s better for a tire? I have 27" zillas on my 1000 now and I loved them on wheelers before but they suck on this 1000! Just spin! I was told I’d be better off riding stock tires vs these zillas. Any truth to that? I know my next tires will be more trail less mud.
I am looking to get a plow for my 2014 outty 800 and I am just looking for opinions on both the state plows and regular plows, like pros and cons for both
I have an 2011 Outlander Max XT 800R with the Apache Track System. We need a Heavy Duty snow plow system for this beast. Just a little concerned whether or not the systems from Waren or other manufacturers will work with our machine with the mounted Apache brackets. Any information or guidance you could provide would be greatly appreciated.
