New 650 Max owner – Quesitons

So hello! I am new here and have a few guestions. I am new to quads but not motorcycles. I just purchased an 07 outlander Max XT with 2400 miles on it and 500 hours. I am curious on maintenance. I got a list of what was done with the prior owner…But going forward I don’t want to be that guy that just changes the damn oil.. and im not rich enough to let a can am dealer steel my money.

So what maintenance needs to be done on these quads on a regular basis. How long/hours should it be done.

Things that I know were done.
New bearings in the rear.
New axels.. and I still have the old ones.
All new fluids and diff fluids

What should I grease and how often?

The bike has a belt slipping at low RPM take off issue and two of the bolts were stripped on the CVT box. $200 for a new CVT cover and backing. Im not comfortable taking off the primary or secondary clutches so im going to have the steeler put this on.

Also has a clanking noise when braking. Coming from the rear. The rear pads looks shot so I am doing an all around brake job on it.

Other than basic stuff what else should I look for. Linkages, bushings, ECT. Any help is mucho appreciated.

Who wants to ride Aug 29-30 in the SouthEast?

Wife & I want to go on an adventure the weekend of Aug 29-30. I’m in the Greenville, SC area. Given a choice between the easy way and the hard way, we’ll take the hard way every time. It’s gotta be pretty hard to make me lock it in 4×4 and super scary (high rollover potential) to make me turn aside.

Was told to try Coal Creek, but when I look it up all I get is Windrock. Been there, fun place, would like something new.

Not interested in Busco.

CAW is too dry and rutted.

Durhamtown Tellico is too small.

Did Brushy Mtn last weekend. Nice trail, but too many rules.

Any suggestions? SC, TN, GA, NC
Anyone want to go? Group thing? Friday night thru Sunday. Camping and all that?

Need Mud pit advise

OK I have a 2015 CAN-AM outlander 1000 XTP all set up for pit racing. Do any of you race on high gear if the pit is more water then thick mud? First race go easy on me. Btw I’m not new to racing only atv mud pit racing lol. I appreciate any advice.

Adding a Renegade left rear caliper?

On my 3rd set of pads for my GenII Outlander at around 400 miles so I’m wanting to do something about it.

I’m going to go with some Race Driven pads and rotors, and have been thinking about adding another rear caliper to help with my back brakes.

I’m wondering if i would be able to use the factory rear master cylinder and just add the rear caliper to it on the same port as the factory one?
The Europeon Outlander and Renegade has the same part number rear master cylinder but the USA Outlander has a different part number.

I’m not interested in splitting the brake levers right now I just want to add the left rear caliper.

Can anyone shed some light? Thanks
