rear differential out of place

06′ 400 outlander

I was trying to remove my rear hitch to install a new one and the rear differential moved enough that the drive shaft slipped out enough that the splines are no longer engaged. I have the top through bolt in the differential but I can’t get the differential move forward and the splines on the drive shaft back into the transmission.

Can someone advise me on a procedure to get the differential in place and the drive shaft back in place at the same time? The differential does not move freely in the frame with the bolts remove so I can’t tell how to get the splines lined up.

Need help on what to look for

Yesterday while out riding, I went down an slope(3ft-4ft) that I have done many times before. This time I caught it at an angle versus going straight(driver error) and rolled the quad over in a stream(water up to my ankles) and had to bail off. I was fine and all just a hurt ego.

I picked the quad up off its side set it upright and looked it over. The front bumper on the gearshift side bent back into the corner plastics where the light is about an inch. Bent the handle bars as well and broke the end caps on the rear xt bumper. The engine stayed running the whole time.

Everything appears to be cosmetics except the gear shifter. I can put it all the gears fine but low. It’s like it’s not wanting to engage completely. What would I need to look at to before I tear the whole quad apart?

When I put it in low it would show on the dash and it would drive but then switch to high on the dash. I was able to ride in high the rest of the trip home and use 4 wheel drive etc no problems.

Outlander cleaning

How are you guys cleaning under the front rack with the radiator up there. I have been rinsing all day and still have stuff coming out.

I can’t get my hand under there either.

Any cleaning tips would be great as cleaning is the worst part of riding haha

cold start on g2

I have been battling what is considered by my dealer to be a "cold start" issue with my 2015 800 outlander. They call it normal I say no. Now let me clarify that I always warm up my atv. I’m very anal about that. So with that said. If I start my atv and don’t let it warm up for at least 5 to 10 min it will sputter and bog and sometimes even die. Now it’s not to say I fire it up and get riding. But if I fire it up and move it off the trailer or truck to let it warm up it acts up. If I leave it for that 5 to 20 min it idles fine. If I’m riding for a few hours and shut it off to take a break. Say 15 20 min. When I get back to riding it will bog and fall on its face again. It eventually clears out of it. But it’s 2015 shouldn’t it be ready to go right away? My 06 never bogged. Dealer days they all do it. I’ve asked a bunch of people. Everyone says no. Just fire it up and go. So I’m asking g2 owners. Does anyone have to let their machine warm up for a few min prior to riding or can you get on it and move it out of the garage or off the trailer etc.does it bog or miss at all?

how to mount gps with XT hand guards.

I’m an avid outdoorsman and I always carry my gps while in the woods. Whether walking or riding fishing or hunting. But the XT hand guards don’t leave any room for a gps mount on the handle bars. And i like a very clean look so i dont want to start cutting holes in it. So I was wondering what you all do to mount your gps with the XT hand guards.

Is this Normal?

Pulled the primary and secondary off last night. Seen this metal on metal scaring issue. Is this normal or should I replace the inner sheave and helix? Any help would be appreciated.
