G2 chassis question

Hi, new to the site.
I would like to know if there is any difference to the rear of a 2012 – 2016 G2 chassis. The reason I’m asking is I’ve found a rear winch mount & want to put it on a 2016 XMR 850.
Any feedback would be appreciated, love this site!
Thanks

Post Pics of your Gen 2 Machined, Chrome, or non-black wheels.

Alright guys getting a little bored of my setup (even though I hadnt had my tires a year haha). I am also getting tired of only seeing black wheels I cannot stand them on anything, sorry guys if you have them and like them I just do not. One more thing I am getting tired of is these companies only coming out with black wheels or just a little machined. I am trying to find a chrome, machined, or just a wheel that is not black from our slim pickin’s. So if you could post some pics of your gen 2 outlander with these types of wheels I would aprciate it, and it gives you the opertunity to show off your fourwheeler. I’ll start….

Installed 20″ LED Lightbar, want to disable OEM high beam lights……

I just installed a Totron 20" 120W LED light bar using a relay triggered by the OEM blue wire found underneath the gauge pod. I have a home run power and ground directly to the battery. This allows me to easily turn on/off the LED light with the factory switch without needing to wire/mount an additional switch. I’ve heard the OEM high beams pretty much become useless after adding an LED light bar, because of this I am contemplating disabling my OEM high beam lights for a couple of reasons. First would be to keep the electrical load the stator sees similar to what it would be when using the OEM high beams with low beams. Second would be seeing the OEM high beam switch seems to have issues because they run full current though it I’d increase the life span of it by dramatically reducing the current the switch sees. The switch would now only be triggering the relay, which takes hardly any current at all.

I want to somehow disable the high beam lights but without messing with any OEM wires and with leaving the high beam light connection in place. A perfect scenario would be to find a pair of burnt out high beam lights and put them in the sockets. I also thought about picking up a pair of cheap lights and then removing the light bulb part. I’d just use them as a base to plug the electrical connection to and for something to put into the light sockets.

Any ideas??
