Little tip for vent line filter

I know there’s hardly any air flow through the the vent lines, just to release any pressure from heat, but I don’t really like having the vent lines open to allow any water or dirt to get in. So I took some open cell foam and added some foam air filter oil, and cut them to size to fit in the vent line. I know it’s probably not going to keep the water out if you submerge the ATV, but it’ll keep any from splashing in there if it gets close. I guess it just makes me feel little bit better having something in the vent line.

800 clutching

I see guys on here talk about clutching there bikes. How much more power will it give you by clutching it? I love my 800 especially coming from a 400 outlander. My brother just spent 700 bucks putting a new chip, and getting his clutch done because he didn’t like that his little brother had a more powerful bike. He has a suzuki king quad 700. I also want to do a radiator relocator and add the snorkel kit. But damn it I only have so much money. But just curious about clutching it.

2009 400 EFI what revs at what speed?

I apologise from the heart of my bottom if this has already been discussed – I did search, but couldn’t find what I wanted. Please excuse a newbie from the bottom of the world. :yahoo:

My question relates to what rpm a 400 should be pulling at what speed. Mine seems to be sitting about 4000rpm at 30kph (legal speed at my beach) and around 5k5 at 50kph. This seems high to me. I was expecting to see around 2k revs at 30kph. Just idling along as my old Yammie would have been.

As an aside – I’m loving my Can Am – its brought back my love of riding again. I’ve thrown new shocks, brake pads, ujoint etc at it and all I need to do now is sort our the 2/4wd problem and she’ll be right as rain. Of course, if I can idle cruise I’d be ever happier.:th_smiliebanana2:

Plow Choices for 650 Outy

Hey guys and gals I just picked up my new outy last week and so far love it! Here soon it will be turning cold and the snow will be falling. So I am looking for a plow to put on. My buddy has a Grizz and he has the warn provantage plow and he loves it. I contacted Warn and they said they don’t make one that fits my Outy. So… That brings me to the all knowing group of Outy folks. What plow would you recommend? Is there one that works and won’t break the bank? I like the warn bucket and that would be super handy. But looks like they may not be an option now. Any suggestions or anyone that has a 15 Outy be able to steer me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Fender Flairs for outlander L 450

Does anyone have the fenders Can-Am offers for the outlander L 450 like whats in the pic? I’m limited on width at the moment but don’t want to spend 100$+ to find out itd be too wide. Does anyone know the overall width these flairs would made the machine? Or how far they stick past the tires?
