Outlander 500 coolant problems.

Hello Can-Am community. I posted this on the welcome forum but it was suggested I post it here. First off I would like to say thank you for creating such an awesome site, secondly would like to apologize in advance for how long my first post is! I am new to your site and new to the brand. I have owned several sport style quads in the past (Suzuki & Honda) but was in the market for something that would do a little work and still be fun. After doing some research I set my sights on Can-Am based on many positive reviews.
I recently purchased a used 08 Outlander 500 Max XT from an older gentleman. The bike was located up in snow country but the owner claimed it had always been stored inside. It only has 95 hours on it and looks like showroom condition. I was very excited to find what I thought was a great bike at a great price, maybe a little too excited! When I took the bike for a test ride I noticed that the front brakes did not seem to be working well and after closer inspection noticed that there was some coolant on the disk. When I asked the gentleman about it he said that the quad had been sitting for awhile so he topped of the fluids and must have spilled some. The guy seemed sincere and the bike looked like new so I did not think much about it, that is until I got it home and took it out for a ride. After running it for a short time I noticed coolant leaking from the overflow bottle. Every-time I run it for more than a 5-10 minutes it starts to burp out coolant. After reading posts from this site I attempted to bleed the cooling system at the heads several times, but still keep having coolant burping out. When the fan kicks on or when the bike is off you can see coolant being drawn back up into the radiator. When the bike cools completely down the overflow tank is empty and about 1/4 of the coolant in the radiator has leaked out. The bike seems to run great and there is not any indication of oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil, but I am afraid to run it and damage the motor. I am encouraged by all the great comments about how tough these machines are, and am thankful to have found such a great site and resource. Still hoping that my first Can-Am experience turns out to be a good one! Sorry again for such a long post, just needed to vent as I am very nervous and frustrated to have such a great looking bike but not be able to ride it! :th_smiliepullhair:

Rear seals on diff

Hey guys, lookin for some help on my prop shaft seal on the rear diff. Lioks like it’s leakin’. Any help on the easiest way to get a new seal in there without pullin’ the rest of my hair out, I’m all ears….

Which slipon makes the most power?

I have a pc 5 on the way. I have read about all different exhaust systems. I read all kinds hp claims from each one.

I’m looking for good deep tone. Not really loud while cruising but great sounding n maybe loud when u hit the throttle.

Also of looking for most power gain… and durability

Front Differential seal wear Ring

Just got my parts from the dealer..Front diff oil seal.24.99
wear ring 24.99 clamp-oetiker 6.99 each total 72.27 cnd
Now the wear ring is just plain steel not very smooth like a machined shaft or stainless steel speedy sleave. I just wonder if this is the reason these brp seals seam to not last very long. My 2005 king quad never had a leak in 9 years of ownership. My brp is only two years old and has 737 miles and 117 hours on it. Mostly used for grading the road and plowing, only been trail riding twice. The only thing that has impressed me is the power steering, main reason for buying it, other than that parts are over priced and there seems to be poor quality controls for a machine this expensive. Seals should last a long time look at our cars. Now can anybody recommend a good manual.
