So I figured I would clean the spark arrestor…well that didn’t work out too well. I took the muffler cover off then tried to remove the 3 bolts holding the tailpipe on. I must have stripped them or snapped the nut off inside the muffler because all they do is spin now. Can’t get them to come out. Now the exhaust has a rattle and it’s bothering me.
I’ve been looking at the BRP snorkel kit, Wondering if its even worth it? I like the idea of the engine intake being raised up. For a just incase basis.. The other stuff can dry out.. Wondering if anyone has one installed and what they think about it?
Sooooo I know we all have done it at one point or another… I made a big oops this fall while riding with a bunch of friends. All kinds of rigs and bikes. While out scouting for the bigger trucks and playing around I did the famous oops in a waterhole… Pic kinda says it all… :0s0_th_doh:
I popped the front up to keep it from getting to the intakes. So I think I’m ok but I wanted to see if anyone else has any thoughts of things to check. Belt doesn’t seem to slip and clutches still looked good when I checked them. Bike still runs fine and rides fine. I’m just hoping to learn from others here and see what all might have gotten messed up if anything.

I am new to Rotax engines and BRP. This is my first atv, but I have had polaris snowmobiles in the past. Just curious what type of mileage and hours owners are seeing on their machines? Can these go 10 or 20 thousand miles and 500 or 1000 hours without any major problems?
I understand every scenario is different and totally dependent on how the machine was ridden and how it was maintained, but just a general consensus?
