front “diff” or not?

I have just been reading the post "Leaving in 4 wheel drive or not".
When the salesman was doing his "pitch" to me re the Outlander, he told me that the Outlander will go where my old Honda TRX would not go because it was "true 4WD", whereas the Honda was only 3 WD. I didn’t really ask for an explanation but assumed that the Honda had a front diff (delivering torque to the wheel with least resistance)whist the Outlander did not. Obviously it has a front gear housing but is it a differential or a straight bevel drive? Or, could be a limited slip diff but I doubt it!
Someone with a manual may be able to clarify.
If it is a straight bevel drive it would not be a good idea to leave it engaged when not needed.
The specs may vary from one model to another. Maybe the Outlander L450 is a "downmarket" model in an effort to reduce the price.
Any thoughts?

Windshield for XTPs

With winter not far away I’ve been looking at windshields for the XTP, already ha e the BRP heated grips but am looking for a bit more wind protection. Anyone have a windscreen mounted on their XTP?

Cheers.

Error pops up when I throttle up then goes off

Jumped on the four wheeler and and an unusual issue yesterday. As I throttled up aggressively the error light would come on and after 3-5 seconds the check engine light. As soon as I backed off a bit it would go off… It came on at 20 mph I backed off then gave some juice and it came back on 25-26 mph, I backed off and gave it some juice and it came back on in the 30’s on and on, I stair stepped it to 45 and it kept coming on as I reached a higher speed, but once I backed off it then it didn’t come back on till I grabbed another 5-7 mph?

Any ideas

Aftermarket power steering

After having shoulder surgery I’ve noticed my shoulder can be a,little sore after a day of rough trail riding. I have a 2008 outlander max 800.
Is there a decent aftermarket setup?
I know it won’t be the same as factory power steering but I thought anything would be better.

QSC/STM setup help

I have a 14 outlander 1000 with 28" EFX Motoboss tires
I just picked up a used clutch setup from a 13 outlander 800 that had 28" outlaw 2’s
What changes would need to be made?
It came with a complete weight set kit.
