Yesterday’s ride. Smoked some belts, watched carnage and had fun.

We drove 3.5 hrs yesterday to go ride somewhere with actual mud. By far the most fun we have had on our XMRs. Lots of mud, tight trails and friendly people.

We didn’t really have any issues with either xmr till half way through the day. Then with my 800xmr , I went off into a hole that had powder like dirt in the bottom and ended up 3 wheelin. Had to back out. Luckily the new Mudder inlaws back out very well and pull very hard. They actually bite so good, I smoked the belt backing out. That was in 4wd. Let her sit for a bit and was all good rest of day. Just didn’t use 4wd unless absolutely necessary . I did smell the belt a few times though. Then towards end of day my hesitation and popping came back and developed an exhaust leak. I think my accelerator pump or PCV is taking a crap. I tipped my 800 over on its side trying to miss a 2 ft deep rut. Slid right into it and my bike fell over in slow motion. LOL. Took 5 people to tip it back over.

Then my wife eased off into some thick mud with her 570 xmr. Mostly clay. She didn’t keep the backs turning, they filled up and she got stuck. Smoked the belt pretty bad trying to get out. I ended up winchING her out.

So in conclusion , even clutch springs aren’t enough. We both need after market clutches.

Alot of looks and drooling over her 570 xmr. Everyone thought it was an 850.
Had alot of mishaps yesterday. One guy with a 800xmr went into the same mud hole I took a pic of my wife coming out straight up . But when that guy came out his went over backwards. He had an xt rear bumper on it and it crammed the bumper into the fender and trashed the rack, rack bracket and left tail light. If was a Pin it to win it hole. I warned everyone. .. then a guy with a 1000 Lifted Rene got it too hot in same mud hole and once it started back up, smelt like burnt oil rest of day.

Does anyone here use the Alpine Flex Plow Extensions???

I’m just curious how well they work…and whether or not the "boxed in" edges of the plow keep the snow from rolling off to the side when plowing large open areas??? I was also wondering if they get caked up with snow when the snow is heavy or wet??? I wouldn’t mind having a wider plow but I’m not sure about the "boxed in" edges.?.? Are they worth buying/adding to my plow or should I just stick to the straight/standard plow blade? Thanks!

2009 800 Outlander LEdition

qsc gen 1 clutch

Hope this is an easy question. What color is the primary spring in the qsc. Stock tires 2013 outlander max 1000. Long story short the thing has gotten harder and harder to shift over time. I think the spring is gone weak on me. I think its silver/blue. Of coarse i don’t have a spacer to try and bump up the engagement to see if that fixes the issue.

20,000 miles and still runs perfect !!!

As I approach 20,000 miles I wonder who else has hi miles on a 1k??? I’m about to down the machine to freshen things up and looking for advice on what to go thru aside from the common bushings, tune up, and normal repair/inspect parts. The motor is 100% stock, has great compression and runs flawlessly. The primary clutch is junk and I have a new one on the way. Any input is appreciated. Thanks.
