I was told the gray gives the machine a slower throttle response. I’m baffled why you would want 2? So do you carry the two and switch when the ride changes?
Right now I have two on the same key chain but I’m thinking of just using one. Can anyone shed some light on why you’d carry both?
governor cup and outside sliding sheave??? I inadvertently scrubbed them off while cleaning up the sheave with Brake Cleaner! :th_smiliepullhair:
I am stuck with trying to make a not so edumacated guess on where the governor cup sat inside the sliding sheave at this point. :th_smiliefrustrated
So…if I have it fit back together in the wrong spot, is it going to screw anything up???
I also made the mistake of scrubbing up the bushings on the sliding sheave with my scotch brite pad before realizing how soft they actually were. :th_smiliepissed: I don’t think I damaged them…but I wouldn’t have been scrubbing so hard if I had known what it was that I was scrubbing on.

Oh, BTW…the play I was telling you about in the fixed sheave pulley shaft is NOT up and down play. It’s a slight in and out play. It will clunk back and forth (straight in and straight out) slightly.
I know it is sacrilege, but I want to add 20+ lbs to each of my wheels. I primarily use the Outty for firewood logging and the wheel ballast would be an advantage. Garden tractors and farm tractors routinely do this. I do not want to fill the tires with liquid as is sometimes done.
Anyone have any links/ideas/experience with achieving this?
I cannot find any aftermarket skid plates for the rear trailing arms of the 2016 Outlander L 570 Max. Are these offered by anyone? Ricochet and Iron Baltic say ‘no’ when I ask. Even Cam Am does not seem to sell stronger versions than what comes with the bike. Has anyone successfully installed stronger skids for the trailing arms?
Just called my insurance company (Markel) and they said they did not insure the make and model ATV I purchased due to it being a high risk.
Has anyone else had an issue getting insurance???

I gonna get a Maverick 1000 belt for it.
I’m running swamp lite 27" tires on stock 12" rims.
Now my question is… what color is the primary spring supposed to be?? Mine is green.
My secondary spring black (which is stock from what I got from forums).
How can you tell if the clutch arm things are good or bad???
My quad has 1,417 miles on it
And 260hr and 44 min.
I bought the quad used with some extra goodies on it. Dual Looney tune exhaust with Looney tune Power Commander.
Also…. is there supposed to be any play in the secondary?? I need a new helix cause mine is cracked grrrrrrrr

Getting ready to do my first fluid change in my diffs should I go spend the big $$$ at the dealer for what they say should go in there or should I do something better? snow is about to be falling here and I should have some seat time coming up since I use the quad to plow so I figure probably best to change out the old fluid soon. What do you guys use brand and weights?
I bought my 800 brand new in July. I have 500 miles and 31 hours on it and the rear end is howling. I was told not to do the first service till 50 hrs Took the plug off to check the fluid and it was really low. It’s not leaking or anything. Are there any known problems with the 800 rear ends?
