Was out breaking in the the new 1000 XTP yesterday and ran into a 45mph speed limiter with the black key. Tried they gray key thinking they might have switched them up but same result so I wasn’t sure if this was something they changed in 2015.
If they need to reprogram a new key do I have to bring the whole quad in?
Does anyone know if the Yoshimura pipe from can am will fit the new outlander 450 L? Or are there any other options? I’m not getting my hopes up about other options. Any other performance mods for this quad yet? Thanks in advance.
Has anyone ever added tie downs inside this rear cargo box? I have the linq box on a 2015 max. I find stuff slides around in the box and an anchor for a strap or a net would be a nice addition.
I picked up a maverick belt the other day now to do the swap and wait for the snow to disappear to break it in I hope this one doesn’t squeal like the stocker
I am replacing the cam chains so I have the heads off the machine. I look through the intake and exhaust side and can see the valves are not seated. I can see lots of day light in between valve seat and valve. Is this normal? Bike is an 07 outlander 650
Got a couple ball joints that are bad and was looking to order some but when i look up on the can am website for the 2013 they are unavailable, like maybe on backorder or something? Then i looked at the 2015 and they are available but they have a different part number. So my question is would these work anyways on my 2013? I don’t think they would of changed the ball joint between the 2 years but never know. Has anyone already put these "new" ball joints in they’re 2012, 2013? Thanks :aniwheeler6:
Here’s the 2013 part number.
Here’s the 2015 part number. Everything looks exactly the same, but just want to make sure.
Messed up my rear brake caliper on my 2013 1000 XT, dealer wants 250$ for a new one! Found a second hand mone for 80$, but it’s from a gen 1 Renegate. Will this fit on my gen2?
I believe I smoked my belt a few weeks ago dragging my utility trailer through a couple feet of wet snow. I can only assume the belt is original anyways so it’s probably not a bad idea to change it anyways.
The local dealer lists the belt for $140 which sounds crazy. The Napa store lists their G-Force CVT belt (NBH 30G3750) for $70. I know that in most cases you get what you pay for but I’m finding with ATV parts you can get the same thing for half the price if you steer clear of the dealers.
Has anybody used this belt from Napa? I’ve seen many other recommendations but most require purchasing online and I’ve only got today and tomorrow to change it if I’m going to.
