What’s up with can am???

Have a 2010 outlander 800 xt-p. It has 5000KM on it. It gets regular servicing at the Bombi dealer every 50 hours ( When the "Maintenance Required" scrolls on dash screen). Probably spent 1000-1500$ on these service intervals. Now they are telling me that the cam chain adjusters are out to max. Is this possible with so few KMs on the machine. I’m a old man who purchased a Can Am liking the looks of it. Are the engines built that badly? I just thought the bike, because of the extra cost would last a little longer than that . Jamie

Light bar SWITCH

Got the bar installed. The little red light on the off switch stays on all the time. Been told by hundreds of people that it doesn’t draw enough power to hurt the battery it is wired 100% correctly just the way the switch is made its a button. On or off and the off button light stays on. Thoughts?

30″ zillas

So I’m looking at replacing my current set up which is 27" mamba lites on 12" rims to 30" zillas on 14" rims. I did the pipe lift because my 27" mambas run bigger than 27" I read that the zillas run smaller. Will I be able to fit these with no issues?

Thanks for any info

Outty Hump – hard to shift

Thought I’d revive this since I can find nothing recent on this problem.

Hard to change gears from P,R,N,H,L
…"Outty Hump" (rocking to get into gear),
…still even on a brand new, completely stock, 2016 Outty 570?

The old threads seem to have all different answers.
…VXB bearings mod?
…Isoflex grease?
…Moly EP oil treatment(2 oz) in gearbox?
…idle speed correct?
…missing friction disc?
…change gearbox oil?
…thinning the friction washer?
…other?

What is the consensus these days to fix this? Is this still common? Rather than try several possible fixes, I’d like to know the one most likely to solve the problem.

Thanks in advance.

which tires will do the best?

I have an 07 outlander max and need to choose between 2 sets of tires sold locally. So, both are OG laws. The first is 29.5 w/w and the other is 31 s/w. My bike is bone stock. I want the 31s but not sure which ones ?? :th_smiliepullhair: I will ride some mud holes in hatfield and local trails.

2013 vs 2016 1000

I have a 2013 1000 with programmer, exhaust, and air intake. Well I feel pretty sure that does not equal to the 2016 1000 89 hp…. I do not like that…. Especially when a buddy might be getting one. We heads up drag race from a dig no excuses on asphalt. So what does the 2016 have that I dont?? New head? Tune? What is it? Also if anybody has raced a 2016 with their 82 hp 1000 and beat them what do you have done to get around that 89hp. Thanks in advance.

HELP!!! Swamped Outlander 1000

Hello, I took my 2015 Outlander 1000 MAX XT with just under 300 miles on it for a ride with a buddy and everything was going find till one moment im riding the next it is on it side, front under water. Swamped…. I didn’t get to hit the kill switch before it went under. The engine is not hydro locked. We tried pulling it out with a Grizzly 660 and we snapped the winch on the grizzly. It is dark, and raining. We are going to leave it partially submerged in the water till tomorrow to see if we can pull it out with a truck. Anyone know what kind of damage has been done. What will it cost to get repaired by the shop?
