G2 erratic gear position display

My ’13 outlander 1000 gear position display has been going crazy on me. It will display any position but the right one sometimes. I wouldn’t notice, but when it says I’m in reverse when I’m actually in high it rev limits me, which isn’t fun. If I stop and shut it off or mess with the shifter or even the lights it works right for a little bit. This has mostly been happening when I have been spraying with it using an electric pump, but it can’t be drawing much power.

Any ideas?

Need quick advise Outlaw 29.5 tires

Gang looking at some 29.5 laws for my 650 max. Maybe the 28 law, but hear I should go 29.5 not sure. Not sure which one to go with the outlaw original or outlaw 2. I would like to keep stocks rims but realize it may not be the best choice.
I will be doing say 60%mud and 40%trail hatfld wv. And 90%mud at home.

Also if there is a perfect rim based on high ratings/reviews please advise. Oh and best discounted place to buy this stuff lol

I know some guys are putting in the snazzy xmr spedo in an outlander and its costly to say the least has anyone ever reused there pod by taking out the original spedo and opening up the hole to occomodate the larger display just wondering in these hard economic times thanks in advance

First time can-am owner problems.

I just bought my first can-am 2013 outlander 1000xt with looney tuned exhaust and power commander 5. When I bought it it had 48 hours on it and no problems. Gave it a good shakedown before buying. Had it two weeks now and I’m having all kinds of problems. The bike runs awesome, but the lcd screen only lights up now, won’t show any readings! Also the bike is saying new ecu detected when the screen does work! Please help guys I’m sick to my stomach with how much I paid and I’m having these problems :th_smiliepissed::th_smiliepissed:

Plastic piece that coolant flows through broke – help

2012 Outlander 650 (Gen 1). There’s a plastic piece that sits on top of the head (also on top of the thermostat), I have no idea what it’s called, but the coolant flows through it into the head.

Recently I had a severe coolant leak so we stripped the bike down and found that this plastic piece had a small hole in it. I’ve ordered a new piece, but it’s not arriving until after a planned ride.

Two things.

1. What is this plastic piece called? I forgot to ask the dealership when I described it to them.

2. Is there any way to temporarily plug this hole so I can ride on Tuesday? It needs to be something that can withstand the temperature and pressure of the coolant.
