Just a curiosity really.
My well maintained and easily ridden 2014 Outlander with less than 3000 km on it had a warranty repair recently. The dimmer switch was faulty which required the replacement of the entire handlebar unit including the starter switch, DPS toggle, and kill switch.
It was replaced under my extended warranty without challenge or incident by my dealer.
The question is, Has there been other problems with this critical piece ?
Anyone else ?
-glad it was the lights and not the start button.
Why will the dealer not let you keep the old unit for parts ?
He said he had to return it to BuRP.
Anyone else had problems with a mrrpm reflash? Ran fine last week at the track. Got a reflash and now it falls on it face out ofbthe hole and won’t pull past 7600 rmp when it would pull 8000 last week. Still only goes 78 mph. Anyone else have this problem?
so everyone claims 2 inch is desired for engine air, well i have a g1 xmr, and was just gonna ad on to do my snorkels. a 1.5 inch abs pipe fits into the stock snorkel perfectly then i had went 1.5 to the pod and 2 inch out of the pod. this harm anything.
the factory air inlet isn’t even 2 inches so why do people think to inch is so important when the stock xmr snorkel inlet isn’t 2 inch

Just wondering if anyone ran into issues with breaking axles while using heavy mud tires. I want to get a set of 27" mega mayhems but I’m worried about them being to aggressive grabbing a rock and snapping an axle. I ride up in mountains where the land is pretty Rocky and want a good mud tire
Hello all, read a bunch of threads on the "pipe mod" and spring spacers etc. I have a 2007 outlander 650. I was not happy with the soft front end so I went with te idea of spring spacers. I have read how many have used 2" cam locks. I went with the billet spacers sold on e bay, and they measure out at 2" ID.
I installed them with no issues put them on the bottom part of the shock, like I read was the proper place to put them. And they did a great job of stiffening up the front, and was pleased.
My question is they are not nice and snug to the shock body like I assumed they would be there is play from side to side and if you hit it with a rubber mallet you can move the spacer enough that it comes off center. now granted they dont slide so far to the point that anything slips off. but I was wondering all thoughs out there that have done "pipe mods" cam locks, and ordered spacers like I did is that extra inside dia play normal and should not be an issue?

I have a 2011 outlander 650xt and the motor is junk… Don’t know what to do with it… dealer estimated it to be $3600 to fix it… Not really worth it in my perspective… Should I part it out? Sell it out right? Find a motor? it only has 1500 miles and every part on it is in good condition…
Tried to search and didn’t find anything. Wife took son on ride around our place. Parked for a few hrs. Got rained on pretty good while I was gone. Stopped raining about 2 hrs before I got home. Started it and it died when I put it in gear. Got it restarted. Ran rough. Got it to smooth out. Ran it around our place. When I went to put it back in the garage there was a green light lit on the cluster. Bottom right corner. Owners manual made no mention of it.
Do yall know what it could be? Also, when driving it’s got a wah wah wah noise. SPeed dependent. Is that normal? Been doing it since I brought home.
