RE: Rear propeller shaft u-joint part number

Hello all,

Can someone point me to a thread from long ago that had a Neapco u joint replacement number for the rear shaft u joints on a 2007 Outlander? I remember all the models from 03-08 were the same. They were 10 bucks and have lasted 4 years rather than the Can am alternative for $180. Thanks and Merry Christmas.

2016 XMR Mods?

I have a 2016 XMR 1000. Has anyone changed the clutch, if so what works best? I want to keep engine braking. What other mods help with performance? Also looking for lift kits, what works best? Maybe around 4 in. Any suggestions for any mods?

Merry Christmas!!!

Merry Christmas to all you Outlander 1000 owners out there! And may all you Outlander non-1000 owners receive an Outlander 1000 for Christmas!

Seriously, Merry Christmas to all of you and your families! May God bless you this coming year.

Factory high beam accessory lead under pod….

I’m looking into possibly installing a LED light bar and I want to use the OEM high beam lead referred to -HERE- and -HERE- coupled with a relay so the LED light bar will turn on/off with the OEM high beams w/o adding an additional switch. Does anybody know where this blue wire is and can confirm it’s existence? I haven’t looked for it yet, but thought I’d ask before I do.

thanks!

Building a Trail/Mud Tool Kit

After tearing my Outty completely down and putting it back together after my last ride. I’ve kind of figured I’ll eventually need to do some repairs on the trail.

Such as: Broken Belt, swamping it, changing plugs, etc.

I have my tools at home, but thinking I’ll make a second set to come with me on trails. Very minimal is what I’m thinking.

I made this list, but would like to hear what else may be an absolute.

Ratchet and sockets
8mm
10mm
13mm
15mm
17mm
19mm

Double Sided Box End W Angle (for trapping bolts, these are irreplaceable)
10mm
13mm
15mm

Single sided box end (rear diff cover)
17mm

Screwdriver 8mm socket (for CVT cover bolts)

Alan Head
4.5 mm long w socket adaptor (draining diff oil)
6 mm long w socket adaptor (filling diff)
6 mm short standard (filling diff)
*insert missing size here 8mm?

Torx Bit (forgot sizes?)

Flat/Phillips SD

Needle Nose Pliers

Dielectric Grease
Isoflex
Anti-seize
Loctite
Zip Ties
Wire Clippers

What else?

What’s up with can am???

Have a 2010 outlander 800 xt-p. It has 5000KM on it. It gets regular servicing at the Bombi dealer every 50 hours ( When the "Maintenance Required" scrolls on dash screen). Probably spent 1000-1500$ on these service intervals. Now they are telling me that the cam chain adjusters are out to max. Is this possible with so few KMs on the machine. I’m a old man who purchased a Can Am liking the looks of it. Are the engines built that badly? I just thought the bike, because of the extra cost would last a little longer than that . Jamie
