Garanaska forest romp!

Sup guys….. so a friend of mine invited me to go down the Garanaska forest on our atv’s… he’s got a nice Honda, I think 600, I got the ’15 800R outlander.
Since I got mine for xmas, I used it around my property mostly for choirs, and the odd run here and there, but nothing prepared me for the gobs of fun that can be had with this machines.
The trails at this forest are awesome, some are kinda groomed, most as not, sand pits are nice deep and large.
The power and ride quality just blew me away, this thing hooks good!… came across three seperate climbs, all freaking crazy pitch, rough….and straight up through the gates of hell lol….. when we got there and looked,Kurt, says…. think you can put it up top….I’m thinkin lean hard over the bars or you’re gonna tip back….just crazy steep hills guys, I had nada to worry about, she just hooked hard at the base of the first run,and climbed like a mountain gorrilla in heat LOL, this machine rocks guys! I’m BIG time hooked!!!!!!!!
This place is close to Bailiboro, which is around Peterborough, any of you guys ever check this place out?Any organized rides in the area, hit me up… Best 5 hrs I had in a long time…well there was this blonde babe, but that’s another story for another time 🙂
It was pretty dusty, I cleaned her right up when I got home, but would like to check out my air cleaner, how do I get to it? what’s involved? help me out here please guys… peace

Front Bumper Wanted!

Hey folks, Does anyone know of a place that provides an aftermarket front bumper for my 2011 800 Outlander? The only one I found was from Wild Boar but it’s too big & ugly for my taste. But I do want a stronger one than stock. I ram things a lot! (Don’t ask! lol)

Magneto or Separate Battery?

Running a 2015 Outlander XTP-MAX with DPS. OEM generator output for Magneto is 625 W at 6,000 rpm. Currently running 10" Rigid E2 light bar on OEM battery with no issues. 10" E2 Rigid Spec is 78 Watts with 5.65 Amp Draw. Looking to add Wet Sounds Stealth 10 or 6 Ultra. Stealth website does no publish amp draw; Peak Watts is 400 or 600 pending model. I am not for sure what the DPS draws although I know the non-DPS model machines Magnetos are 400 W at 6,000 rpms, so I am assuming 225 W (??). I have a lot of friends running sound systems on a variety of machines with amplifiers that are running on separate 12V batteries and charging at the end of each day. At first glance appears I would be operating near the limit on existing OEM equipment with all devices operating.

Would like opinions if additional battery is the way to go, and is there some recommendation on a switch-over (one of my friends has this on Maverick) for an Outlander to be able to move the Magneto charge from one battery to the other during a ride and minimize charging the battery at the end of each day or keeping everything separated on the sound system is better (do not share on a switch over is recommended)

Your thoughts and opinions are most appreciated.

Outlander XTP owners with the Fox shocks

I just got a 2015 Max 1000 XTP on the 14th, and as ya’ll know its got the Fox shocks on it, and to me, they seem really stiff, i mean, i can press down on the front and rear, and it doesn’t move, if it does, very little, did ya’ll have to adjust yours any, or did you leave it alone, This is my first experience with an atv with Shocks like these, so i have no idea what to do, i was thinking, before i looked at them closely, they where like some shocks Rancho used to make for trucks that had a knob on them with like 10 settings, and you just turned it to suit your needed’s. I may get the dealer to adjust them when i take it in for the 10hr service, not sure yet. Any info would be appreicated. Thanks-

Steering Play

08 Outlander 800 here. Problem is I am noticing play in my steering. No Power steering here just manual. Now Ive noticed when turning the steering is tight. Would it be the tie rods? Any help appreciated.

Gas Question…

So I have had some problems with ethanol fuel in some
of my small power stuff, trimmer, blower, etc….
How do you all get along with your bikes running this crap?
Any problems? I have a new 500 2 up that cost me as much as a house I once
owned and I’m wanting to head off any problems from ethanol gas as most have 10 % and now I hear they want to raise that to 15%.
Thanks for your anticipated input! 😝
