After I went riding in a few mud pits, I noticed that my fan was making a high pitched whine when it came on. I thought something was stuck in there so I reached in and turned it with my hand with no problems. It’s working fine, but it still makes a weird noise. Any suggestions?
Just curious. The local dealer might have a ’12 Outlander 500MAX XT for sale. It’s listed at $7699 with 1100 miles on it. I’m thinking of trading our Honda Rancher for it if he still has it. What kind of experience has everyone had with this model as far as reliability, power, etc goes? Any info is appreciated since I’ve never owned a Can-Am.
I’m relatively certain that the answer is a resounding NO, but I’m trying to buy an 06 GMC 2500 Allison/Duramax crewcab shortbed with a combo tank/toolbox, which of course wouldn’t leave much room for an Outlander in the bed.
Has anyone successfully carried an Outie in such a vehicle with the rear resting on the tailgate? Bad idea, right?

On my new 2013 outlander max 800 I am noticing more and more a high pitched whirling sound that is probably coming from the clutch area. It sounds like a bad bearing and it is very noticeable at 3000 rpms. It is loud enough that it is really annoying. My wife and I went on a 30+ mile trail ride yesterday and the noise really wore on us. The noise isn’t constant and goes away when you get off of the throttle. We ran into someone else on a 500 can am and asked him if he had the the noise and he said no. I noticed this noise also when running on tracks when the machine was brand new a couple of months ago. I am thinking I should bring the machine in for inspection since it is still under warranty. Machine has 25 hours and about 150 actual miles. Any thoughts?

hi all, I think I have an issue with my rig. Just got back from a long ride and everyone in our group was smelling a hot rubber smell. It was most noticeable on high speed sections of the trail. Later it was narrowed down to my machine. I have ridden cvt machines since the 90’s so I know when to use low. It smelled like a belt but I haven’t pulled the cover yet to see. Nothing ever broke however. Just with my knowledge of cvt’s I would think if the belt was coming apart it wouldn’t have smelled like that for 200 miles and would be hooked up at 50 plus mph in high not slipping. Just an odd one. Maybe it’s not the belt and something else. Also my machine has 709 miles on it. This is the first time smelling this so I would think if I had a alignment issue with the clutches I wouldn’t have had that many miles before a problem. I have had bells go on atv’s and sleds, never had one smell hot for 3 days and not be in 1000 pieces. Thoughts?
So I decided on going with the Muzzy but what tuner is recommended? I ride a 2014 650 XMR if that makes any difference. If I order through Muzzy, is the tuner included? I’ve seen some guys say that got both together.
