So I had some time to kill so I decided to go out for a 30 minute ride, well after smashing into a monster rock face on at about 30 km/h(long live the skid plates) I managed to put a 1 inch diameter branch right through my clutch cover…yeah.
I managed to get home by the roads, the trail to go back home is pretty wet and the water holes would of filled my clutch case…anyway I haven’t opened it up yet but from the sounds coming out of there my strap is pretty much dead and I suspect a few loose pieces of branch and plastic.
Has anyone had this happen to them, apart from a new one any fixes?
Ive been meaning to post this for a bit now. I saw this Outty 1000XMR on the Snirt Run on the tug hill plateau in NY this past April. Look at those tires! What are those anyway? Attachment 27768

Are the cluches the same on all outlanders? I have an 09 800 and I’m looking buy clutches off a guy with a 2014 can am outlander 1000 XT-P. He’s saying the dealer said they will fit all models. Need some help please!!
I have a 2011 Canam Outlander800XMR but it has C2109 error popped up. Engine is not unstable. I changed almost sensors and did cleaning all component. But its not cleared yet. If you have any experiences, could you please share with me.

Ok – I know there are a couple of threads out there about rear diffs.
I have a 2012 1000xt
29.5 outlaw2
qsc primary
stm secondary
The rear diff is really starting to growl now(loud). Imagine that!
I need to tear it apart, to see if its bearings or the pinion gears?
if its bad what would you guys do? (keep in mind money is involved)
New factory diff – $550.00
New xmr diff kit – $1200.00
Or MudNwheels built one for $1225.00

I’ll be acquiring an outlander L Max hopefully in the next 6 months. I came across a good craigslist deal on a 5×8 trailer. For those who own a max, what size trailers are you using? I’m concerned the 8 foot length may be a bit on the short side when factoring in strapping the ATV down.
Is it worth it? 253 original miles and 82 hours. $6999
I’m thinking of looking at it, but have never owned a Can-Am. I’ve been a Honda guy, but this looks like a great deal. Is the model reliable?
