I just got a used Can Am XT 800 from a guy and I have only had it for a couple of weeks. It already is giving me problems such as, Lo Batt ( which I got a new one and still says it is low), Check engine light comes on, over heating and limp mode comes on. I cleaned it up and let it sit for a couple of hours and then started it back up and rode a little more and it was fine. A couple days later i run the machine and it started out fine then they all started to pop up again. I tried to started it this morning and wont turn over. Any suggestions would be great .
My handle bars squeak when I turn them. Is there something that needs to be greased in there? Also just found out I have to lube the bearings on the shocks too and they come dry from factory. With 2500k on the bike hopefully they’re not completely seized up. :th_smiliebanana2: Oh ya and more good news, I snapped the grease fitting on the drive shaft so does anyone know what size they are so I can replace it? :th_smiliepissed:

Looking to start gathering info and parts for a winter build. I’m looking to add more power to the 1000 but don’t want to go into a crank. Just head work, bigger valves maybe higher compression. What’s everyone doin to add more power? Just in the early stages here but would like to start buying parts now. Thanks for any info.
Would like to hear from anyone running a Twin air filter on their Outty and can give a review on the fitment, construction and cleaning ease. I am running a Uni, but dont like that this model doesn’t disassemble for cleaning. Thinkin of switchin’.
