Dealer told me that my 2015 outlander 1000 not only has the grey (slow) and black (go) key but also has a break in mode on the machine itself. apparently a reduction in power and speed and something else that slowly builds as you get hours on the machine. till around 10 hours i assume.
is this legit or bs?
thanks
I have been reading on here about lifts and one general concensus I have gathered is if you bracket lift you will breAK axels because of the angle. If this is true why do I always see bikes that are 2-4 inches higher sometimes more? Just confused and figured this is a easier way to get a straight forward answer. Thanks.
Does anyone know of a good place for aftermarket parts for my 2015 outlander l 450? I can find exhaust systems or anything. Any input is helpful. Thanks!
To start off it was 1 month ago i bought a 2015 polaris 570 sp. Great machine. havent road in years and figured it was enough for me. It makes all the funky noises polaris in known for but all in all im pretty happy with it. I really didnt know any better. closest Can Am is about an hour so i never bothered. New they was a good bike as well.
anyways my buddy started looking and we went to a dealership to check em out. I was hooked as soon as i walked through the door. so beautiful in person.
It didnt take a rocket scientist to figure out what brand my friend was getting after sitting on one. also got hard fast sticking up for the brand i just bought 1 month prior while hes drooling over the specs of the outlanders. I was pretty pissed that i didnt hold out longer but what are you gonna do? i figured he was gonna get the 500 canned h8am and we will be close enough that i wouldnt be too jelly. NOPE! it went from one day buddy getting an entry level outlander to "HEY STEVE!!! MY WIFE SAID TO GET A 2 UP SO IM GETTING THE MAX XTP 1000"
.

OH HELL NO!!
im not farting around with the sportsman while my buddy is sporting a XTP!
that day i sold my victory motorcycle. paid off the sportsman and bought a 2015 1000 XTP.
im in aw of this machine. such a great design. very slick. if it performs like how it looks i will be jacked. my sportsman is really nice but after i got use to it i found that i started flooring it more and more as i wanted more power. im a big dude so it was hard to get the tires to break loose easily. i want a machine that makes me think pushing the gas all the way may not be a good idea 😉
played for about 2 hours tonight with my girls on the polaris, my buddy on his max and me on my new baby. used the grey key and its still pretty dang strong just playing easy for break in.
i feel im in for a real treat when its broke in and satans black key of death gets used.
congrats to me for buying what may be the ultimate machine and congrats to my girls how are now proud owners of a 2015 sportsman
So I have read hours of threads but curious if I switch my outlander weights and run all gade weights and run a 650 helix should I be safe running 29.5 laws or 30 laws going all skinny? I have seen all the 3 and 3 stuff, and when I can afford it would probably just run the QSC primary. So basically it would be a primary or mud tires this year, and I hate to miss out on riding strictly trails on the 25s that came on the outty
No skeg in AL although y’all Canadians trips look awesome… Just watery mud holes around here where clearance is needed from sxs ruts…
Thanks for help, or links cause I can’t find what I’m thinking of running
Hey guys, i went riding with 2 other xmrs the other day all 3 are 15’s, my 800 another 800 and a 1000, the other 2 shift like butter compared to mine, i gotta do the can am hump extremely hard and often need to give it a little shot of gas before i can shift, what am i looking for when adjusting the shifter, if i recall correctly there is 2 adjustable linkages
