Does it matter on the brand for heavy duty tie rods? I found a kit for 90 bucks on eBay with 12mm ends. It’s going on a 2015 CAN-AM outlander 1000 XTP. Thanks for the help.

I’m looking to invest in a storage box for my 13 1000XT. I am wondering which seats offer the most comfort for a passenger while being relatively useful for storage. I wish there was a way to retrofit the max seat onto a standard outlander. TIA!

I am looking for a Can-Am Outlander 800 Max XT and i came across one not far from me. When i went to visit it i noticed the gears were kind of hard to shift. Like i would put it in park but it would still say on the display it is in reverse. i would have to put it out of park, back in to reverse, and then try again. If anyone can verify the problem id really appreciate it!

EDIT: I don’t think the linkage, because when i do try to switch gears it doesn’t make that "noise" when it switches gear.

A tree branch poked the stator wire into the case. (weird…I know but true…see images) I need to remove the case in order to replace the wiring grommet to it’s correct location.
I’ve removed many bolts but am stuck on what is next. I have a repair manual but it doesn’t specifically help so I am hoping you can.

Do I need to remove the starter?
Do I need to remove the water pump?
Do I need to remove the front and rear propeller shafts? Or will the case split after I remove the bolts on the outer case that hold the shaft housing?

I’ve drained the oil and anti freeze. I’ve got the machine jacked up on right side to give it a tilt of about 45 degrees.

Any help will be much appreciated. 🙂

Does anyone have an issue with the waterproofing of the rear storage box? Whenever I go mudding or just through a water pit my box gets filled up and dirty. Any idea what this is caused by or how I can fix it?

2015 outlander xtp 1000
i put a one inch hole in my back tire today and need a new one. thinking of just the stock tire but have a question on sizes.
my back bead locks are 26X10X12
there are not many tires this size it seems.
looking at bear claws and zillas but they are 26X11X12
I dont want to modify or cut anything.
with that said do these tires fit my stock bead loacks even tho they are 1 inch wider? Im a little lost on tire sizes that will actually fit with no modding.
i personaly just assumed i have to stick with 26X10X12 but i dont know

After soaking my clutches, when I took it all apart to clean it out I noticed that so many rubber pieces are cracked. By bike is a 2013 and it seems like it’s a bit premature. The parts I noticed today were the drain caps for the air box, the clutch case, and the cvt intake. Anyone else notice this? If not, you might want to check it out.

Got my old pump torn appart in preparation for replacing the one that’s in my 07650 outlander now. Was cleaning things up and went to blow through the regulator and no go. Just wanted to confirm what I suspect.

Fuel pressure is regulated on the return side.

Regulator is not opened till the key is on hence no airflow going through.

Got the old pump off. Ended up breaking the nipple on the old pump and then pulling peices out. Cut about 5/16" off the corrugated fuel line as well and there looks to be enough yet to put it onto the new pump. Only concern is clamping it inplace. It is stretched a bit from going over the barbs on the old pump. Plan was to put the two hose clamps on the new pump nipple that came with the airtex pump and hope for the best.

Tried the yoshi one from brp since the dealer said it would fit.

Well they couldn’t have been more wrong. They even had me bring it in and tried to get in on there themselves thinking I didn’t know what I was doing. He said possibly with a bracket but it still would have sat low.

Just curious. Would love to throw one on there give it a little something extra.

Hi guys, searching for parts online I came across this website that has deep discounts on OEM parts. Anybody used them? On the new Yoshimura slip on for Outlander it is literally $100 less than you can get from a dealer. I tried a few OEM part numbers and the pricing seems to good to be legit.
