HMF custom color matched exhaust

Put my new slip on pipe on about 2 weeks ago and I love it. Looks great imo and it really gives off that v-twin roar without being obnoxious. I did get stuck in a water hole and it took on enough water to rust the inside core and while the packing was wet it was stupid loud. The install required a new bracket that was a pain because the stock bolts it used were impossible to get nuts back on. :aniwheeler6: not sure how to upload pics from my BlackBerry any ideas?

Mud Guards-OEM Vs. Direction 2

My Outlander Max 1000 XTP didnt come with the Mud guards, like my 2011 XTP did, so i was thinking of getting some. Would like to hear from owners of both, do you think the OEM or the D2’s are better, i read about the OEM’s, and how the hardware they used wasnt good, etc. How’s the D-2’s hardware?? Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

Toy Hauler Options

I have an Outlander Max XT and plan on adding an Outlander L Max soon. I’m trying to figure out toy hauler options so that I can load both for camping/hunting trips. I currently have a front deck 8’x8′ hauler (Aerolite Cub 314 THV, if you’re curious), but want to switch to an interior separate rear garage at some point because I’m not crazy about the hybrid "pop-out" ends on my hauler. They are beat up and kind of a hassle, not to mention that one end is leaking. However, I’m not sure two outlanders would fit side by side in an interior garage with the electric bed rails, etc eating up the few inches of clearance I would have.

Any experience or suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

exhaust cooling tube outlander

I posted on facebook about wrapping my exhaust on my xmr to cool the plastic and a guy who had his plastics catch fire told me that can am made a tube that runs from the belt vent to the exhaust to force air on it and cool it. i have an aftermarket muffler so my warranty is pretty much void. but does anyone have the part number of this relocate tube so i can price one out? thanx

2013 Outlander Max XT Popping/snapping noise from rear only when hot?

Last four trips out the ride starts quiet than about 15 miles in or so I get a popping/snapping noise from the rear. Gets more frequent as the ride goes. Side to side motion causing it not up and down. Let it sit and the next day can’t get it to do it sitting in the driveway. Next ride, same thing. Finally decided to see what the techs could figure it out and they can’t get it to make the noise of course. They said they checked everything and it looked fine. My first thought was the bushings. If they are bad, they are bad and wouldn’t just stop and start doing it, right? Is anyone else having this issue? Maybe related to the heat shield? I can hear the noise but best guess is up under the rear seat. Just went over 2000 miles and greased regularly.
