650 xt help!

Hello everyone. I’m new to can ams but have been riding quads for several years. Picked up a 2013 650 outlander xt used last wk. Had 60 miles on it. I love it. Rode it couple times. Well today was going ok. Til I stopped to take a break. Wouldn’t come out of gear. Belt was smoking. Shut it off. Got it to start and reluctantly into gear. Wouldn’t sit. Idled forward. Got it home by playing with it. Now I’m 95 percent sure belts fried. I’m new to cvt quads but I’m guessing the clutch stuck wouldn’t disengage. Tasted mt belt. It will go in and out of gears now. Cuz I believe the belts slipped enough to let it. Also leaving the woods it started freewheeling down a hill. Like the belt couldn’t grip the engine braking system and caused it to slip.
Help lol. It now has 125 miles on it

Anyone running a power commander on their outlander?

Have a 1000 XT, and am considering a programmer. Not sure about best placement, and what options there are for waterproofing it?

Two Brothers Exhaust

I’m picking up a Two Brothers muffler for my 2013 Outlander 800 tomorrow. Anybody had experience with them? Not sure how it sounds, but I’m getting it for $100 and it only has 200 miles on it.

This is unreal…

So my buddy and I were riding up in Foresthill CA, there is always some kind of adventure/drama it seems! My friend stops on the trail and want’s to get a drink so I tell him let’s pull off the trail and into some shade, so I pull up under some trees and I happen to look in front of me and there are two boards with nails sticking up and I hit my brakes but not before going over one of them.

WHO on earth does something like this? This was clearly done with malice in mind, the boards were spaced apart exactly the width OF an ATV and had 4 nails on each one. I had no choice but to pull the damn thing out of my tire but fortunately it was a slow enough of a leak I didn’t have to patch the tire on the trail. We could see the dirt road from the trail and it looked like this was a spot people used to use to get to the road but had been blocked off with strategically placed fallen trees. I took both boards and threw them in an area they couldn’t be ran over again but someone could have stepped on these things. What kind of jerk get’s their jollies by doing this? I mean we only pulled a few feet off the trail for some shade.

Then my buddy hit’s a bush and nearly rolls off the trailer, hit’s a girl on a dirt bike then hit’s a fallen tree that left a big chunk in his grill!

new guy needs info help.

Hey everyone, not new by any means to riding but I haven’t ever bought or owned a MASSIVE 4X4. 400 big bear, I’ve had 6 250 and 125 dirt bikes and 4 trx 450r all fully built. So I have riding experience but I’ve sold all the fast bikes and quads …. still have the 400 on dad’s farm. I’m on the hunt for either a scrambler 1000 or a outlander or renegade. My question is why do I want a can am over a polaris. I wanna have that power plant there when I want it and wanna have the speed and also be able to get down in the nasty mud holes and point it anywhere and go. Other is I’d like to be able to have the wife ride on the back at times. So I need so input and heck pics if you have any showing 2 people on the quad if possible. All info would be great. Thanks.
