2012 stator

Hi all,is there any difference in the stator or harness from a 2011 to a 2012? It looks like I need a stator but the supplier I want to buy from only lists for 2006 to 2011. Also wondering where the stator fuse is. Would it be the 30 amp under the seat marked main fuse? Thanks for any help.

Snorkel and brp relocate kit installed

Just thought I would post some pics of everything installed. It was a full weekend job but I built my snorks homemade following a write up.

They don’t fit perfect but will do till I rebuild them. Found a few ideas of rerouting the cvt intake across to the other side.

Here u can see how much I had to trim from the cover. It’s not pretty but u can see it once it’s on

It’s hard to see but I,tried to get it anyway. The snorkel is against the overflow pretty tight and getting it in there I had to actually take the bottle off then reinstall it after.

I may end up going the syatv route later and have the cvt risers come out the side the pod.

Read swing arm ball bearing

I recently replaced all my wheel bearings and when I did my swing arm bearings came apart, lucky for me the balls didn’t fall out, so I re packed it with grease and got it back together but it seems to be very shaky now and I need to replace my u-joints on my rear shaft so I figured it was a good time to try and replace these swing arm bearings.
My question is what is the size or part number I can use at my local bearing store? The dealer wants around $130 per bearing and I see them on eBay for about 50 bucks but I was hoping I could get it local, just need a part number or size. Any ideas??

K&N air filter

My stock air filter is in need of replacement, so I figured what the heck, I’ll throw a K&N in it. I like the prefilter sock I can put on them to keep out the worst of the dirt. I hate cleaning filters.
The recommended model # is CM-8012 for my 2013 Outlander Max 1000 Ltd. When I went to put it in the bike, the collar that fits into the back of the air box seems a little smaller than stock, and does not seem to seat tightly. The stock filter has enough tension that it will stand up on its own before you thread the lid on. The K&N seems too loose to me, and I was worried that the machine would just suck dirty air around the collar.
Anyone have any input? I did a topic search, but couldn’t see anything related.

Fan not working

So i have seen a couple forums on the topic but wanted to make sure i understand the process of diagnosing the problem. So went for a ride the other weekend and a buddy crashed my other can am so I had to tow it out with my other Max. While towing it out the 2013 Can am 1000 Max over heated and went into limp home mode. Now for whatever reason the fan will not turn on and if i let the bike sit within 10 mins it overheats and the fan never kicks on. So from what I have been reading it can either be the fuse/relay, the fan, the thermostat, or the engine coolant temp sensor. So i guess the steps to diagnose would be check the fuses and relay (which i did, they are fine and it still does not kick on). Next I would then plug the new fan i got (the crashed unit needed a new fan) into the Max and see if the fan kicks on, if it does then the problem is the fan. If this still does not work i can hookup a switch to jump the relay (wanted to install a fan override anyway) if that turns the fan on then does this tell me its the sensor or the thermostat? also if this does not work what is the next step in diagnosing the problem ( i saw something on removing the coolant temp sensor and that should kick the fan on, is that a way to tell if its the sensor?) Any help you guys could offer would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
