2016 maverick xc vs 2016 commander 800r dps

I’m thinking bout buying one of these this fall or spring. I’m building in my head. I had a commander 800r in 2012 but sold it to get a boat. Bad idea lol. Main purpose of sxs will be high mileage trail riding in northern nh/ Maine, then some fishing, camping(over night rides), ice fishing.

One of my questions is about shocks. I know the commander shocks suck so , how would a set or 2" Elka stage 5 shocks compare to the Mavericks?

Ct Maverick build!

Alex outdid himself on my 2014 XRS. According to him this has the best stock width suspension you can possibly have on an XRS.
CT cage with custom recess for the 40" totron light bar, front bumper with 12" totron radius, tie rods, front high clearance arms with sway bar, dual rate shock package and rock sliders. The biggest addition was the stretch kit that moves the rear diff back 10", wheelbase 6" and gives the rear an additional 2" of travel. It also takes the compound angle out of the rear axles. Stretch kit came with new radius rods and high clearance rear arms. The package was finished out with DFR doors, STI wheels and 30" bighorns. Previously installed by myself is the xmr snorkel kit, viper elite wide spool, DFR harnesses and glovers rear bed supports.

First ride was impressive and all the mods worked very well together. The front sway bar really makes these things corner so much better with no loss of front articulation. My stock clutching isn’t going to work with the 30’s but that’s for a later date. I have it back in the shop now adding a 5th point for the harnesses, reverse lights, an interior "dome" light, halos and lining the engine covers with thermatec heat protector. More pics to come!
