New Maverick XDS Turbo

Hey guys new to the maverick side of the forum, just traded in my renegade and bit the bullet on a 2016 mav xds turbo.
threw on a set of 30x9x14 and 30x11x14 silverbacks along with the winch bumper and half windsheild..

quick question, they say not to adjust the preload on the spings any more than stock. any specific reason as to why? i had the preload jacked on the renegade with no problems, it is because of the dual rate spring set up?

Thanks for any input !

How big of a tire with stock clutch?

2013 maverick xrs
Stock clutch
Sport low override will be installed
Question is how big of a tire can I go without losing performance Because of stock clutch?
Top end isn’t a factor much. I know I’ll lose some in it and that’s ok. I’m rarely over 50 mph. I just want good power to the ground. I mainly ride trails like hatfield mccoy so I’ll be in low most of the time. Specially will the low sport override.
Thinking 30’s would be nice but not sure how much of a loss I will have with them

Aftermarket power steering

I have a 2013 maverick XRS and as you know it does not come with power steering. I would like to bolt one on and I’m looking for opinions on what is the best aftermarket power steering package I can get for the money. This is assuming I cannot find a scraoped out maverick to yank the original power steering off of it

Anyone have any issues with the maverick XMR?

Hence for the question I’m thinking about going from my outlander max to a sxs.

Reason I’m considering the XMR maverick is the radiator is relocated and the intakes are higher up from factory. I don’t plan on doing much if any mud riding but I want the insurance those features provide since I do creek ride on occasion.

Any info would be great. Thanks.

New to me Maverick Max X RS. Need assistance

Hi all,

Well I finally picked up a 4 seater to get the family out on the trails with me. It’s a 2014 Maverick Max X Rs with about 800 miles. I have 3 issues that need addressing.

1. The belt engagement is very jerky. If I am light on the throttle it jerks the UTV until complete engagement. Makes it hard to maneuver in tight spots. The previous owner said he took it to the dealer and they claimed it was normal??

2. The dash says I’m in H when I shift it in Low. Low functions just fine but its a little annoying.

3. The starting seems weak. I put a charge on the battery overnight but when I first try to start it, it cranks slowly at first then it will start. Bad battery??

and most importantly.

4. Today on my first ride after the day was almost over the DPS stopped working. I looked and the dash was saying "Check DPS" and the Engine icon was flashing. After getting home after it was sitting about an hour on the trailer the DPS was working.

The Maverick has a little left on the extended warranty so if needed I can bring it into the dealer. I would like to get some advice first if possible.

Eric

Abused 2013 Maverick XRS engine issues

Hello

A friend of mine just bought a very abused 2013 Maverick XRS . It has clearly been on its side and or roof or possibly even both .

Damage to the body is all pretty simple to fix and replace where needed

The big issue is with the motor/engine . It will start up, but has a check engine light on . It smells and sounds like it’s running very rich. Doesn’t backfire or anything, but you can really smell the gas .

The oil is clean wit no visible leaks .

Question is does anyone know of a good engine repair place in the Ohio Akron/ Canton area.

Also in a worse case scenario what year Mavericks are the motors interchangeable.

Thanks
