2006 ds650x seat cover

Hello I’m looking for a factory seat cover for my 2006 DS650. I ordered a brand new one through dealer however when it came in it was all black with no orange X ECT. I then tried to order a complete seat assembly however according to dealer the correct seat cover and the complete seat have been discontinued. Does anyone have a MINT SEAT or cover they would like to sell?
Thank you

DS90x oil smell when running

I changed the oil in my sons DS 90 about two weeks ago and it was the first oil change. Ever since I did it smells like it is burning oil when it is running. I cleaned all the oil that was dripped when I was changing it and it has been washed twice since but I still smell oil. It isn’t smoking either. Now when I was changing it I set the park break and tipped it up on the rear grab bar to loosen the plug then sat it back down then after it all drained out I tipped it back on the grab bar again to make sure I got the plug back in correctly. This as the first oil change and I’m new to the DS world and am dumbfounded . I have had atvs that burnt oil but they smoked and this one isn’t and I wouldn’t see why it would it only has about 8 hrs on it any ideas to what the oil smell is or why I would be smelling it ? I bought the oil from the dealer and it is the recommended oil for the DS

DS 90x tether kill

Has anyone put a tether kill on a DS 90x ? I was wondering where to connect the positive wire on the kill switch to ? It says to splice into a wire coming from the stator but wasn’t sure if that s right or not . Any help would be appreciated.

2000 DS 650 oil going into starter problem

Hi there I’m new to this forum stuff have used them for years to solve problems with my toys but ic come across a problem I can’t seem to find any answers for and the dealer is no help unless you bring it to them lol. Anyways I have a 2000 DS 650 and I’m getting oil into my starter and had caused the starter to not work anymore and from what I understand is the stator is a wet bath stator and I believe that means there’s always oil on that part of the casing so does anyone know if there’s a seal or something on the starter to stop the oil can I get this seal anywhere and had anyone else had this issue

DSX-90 V-Belt Instalation Problems

Good afternoon,

I recently replaced the V-Belt on my DSX-90. When I had it all back together, the slip clutch (not sure what the formal name is) engages far to early when the quad is at an idle, rather than at a marginal RPM. It feels a lot like a quad with a manual transmission that is stuck in 4th gear. Does anyone have any advice for me on how to adjust the clutch, or solve the problem?

Thank you,

Cris

Searching an A-Arm for DS650

Hello,

my name is Matthias. I`m from Germany and own a DS650 Baja X.

Last year I had a little accident with my DS in the forest. I replaced all the damaged parts – I thought. Last week I saw that the lower right A-Arm is deformed. In Germany I can`t find a replacement part so I hope I can find it here.

Please help me!

with kind regards
Matthias

Facts about the DS250 and the real bike’s manufacturer

Below is an excerpt from an interesting article about the origins to the DS250 and its sister bikes, the Quad Lander 250 and the TGB Blade 250 . Here is the address to the article:

http://www.quad-info…-am-ds-250.html.
(It will have to be translated to English using google translator).

"…the Canadian firm BRP turned to the Taiwanese manufacturer SYM, recognized for design quality and scooters since 2005 quads in combination with another manufacturer Taiwan, E-Ton quad specialist. Therefore not surprising to find the 4T single cylinder 249 cc liquid-cooled already present in certain parts Quad Lander and the chassis coupled with disc brakes front and rear. As regards the rest; saddle, body parts, the counter, the stalks, everything was prepared for BRP and some parts have received minor modification such triangles suspension and swingarm."

Here is a link to the FREE service/repair manuals of the Qaud Lander 250 and the Blade (they’re in English). The engine parts are pretty much dead on to the DS250. Detailed specs may be different but the basic principles to the repair will apply.
