Hey everybody, Finally making the jump over to can am. I am in the market for a new outtie. Right now they have $500 off all the models. Would I be better off waiting a few weeks for the 2016’s to come out and hope the ’15 prices drop some more? Been awhile since ive purchased new and would like to save as much as possible.
Last week I did a 205km (127mile) trip and last year I did one 208km. Got me wondering what everyone else might consider long rides? These were predominately on trails, with the odd short stretch on dirt road thrown in to connect them.
Heyy! How is everyone doing? First off I’m looking for performance upgrades for 2012 renegade 500. When my piston rings go I was looking at the big bore kit. It bring the 500 to a 640 with performance cams can add up too 21hp… Was wondering if anyone has done this before? If I remember correctly it will be a 12.5/1 compression ratio. But will cost a few pretty coin. I ‘ve already done clutch, exhaust, belt. Anyone have any other suggestions that I can do? Besides putting a bigger motor in. Generally use it for trail, and mud.
my wife was riding it thru the hay field behind are house she got off of it for a minute and went to start moving again and it stalled. We pushed it back to the garage and it has spark, fuel, and turns over fine but will not start. When i try to start it I push the throttle in a little bit and it backfires through the air cleaner box.Where do I start to look ?
So I took my 2012 can am renegade 500 out for a ride and got the limo mode, and had to get towed back I lose all my coolant. I washed my rad, topped up my coolant and cleaned my rad out and also found a blown fuse so I thought I had the problem went out again and another blown fuse. The fan runs checked with a 12v power, and also remover the temp sensor. I’m not convinced that the temp since is back just because it’s blowing fuses. Also thinking to add a manual fan switch too it just in case. Does any one have an idea how to wire them in and also a common place for wires to rub and cause a short?
:th_smiliefrustrated just made snorkel set up for clutch intake and exhaust out of shop vac hose.worked great and is tucked up under gauge pod with cutting holes.
