Ok long story short. I have an outlander 1000 2012. Original rear diff went out at about 1000 miles. Bought a new one from a can am dealer on ebay. Almost instant it was very noisy. made it maybe 100 miles. full of metal and pinion gear coming apart. I just got one built by mudnwheels. IM going on a big ride in the mountains on thursday and didnt want to take a chance with my noisey rear diff. My question is , is there any special secrets that i need to now installing the rear diff. Is factory specs important? im a ford tech by trade so very mechanical inclinde. After putting my rear diff in tonight . with no wheels on and on jack stands. I can turn the rearend over by hand with it in neutral i can hear the rear diff like a gear noise. i may be just parinoid . but before i run it thought i would check in here first. thanks for the help as i need it fast before my ride thursday .

570 xmr custom exhaust vs 800 xmr modified stock exhaust
I put a thrush glass pack on the 2016 570 xmr. Factory exhaust was getting way to hot.. The new glass pack fixed the heat issue and sounds amazing . Also made a noticeable difference in throttle response.
Well that made me want to make my 800 sound better. So I got bored last week and removed the factory tip on the stock muffler of my 2015 Xmr 800. Then right at the outlet on the inside of the muffler I cut a 2 inch square in the bottom of the outlet and welded a 2 inch tip onto it. Sounds good.
Well I have another thrush glass pack sitting in the box. I have been contemplating putting it on the 800.. just not sure if it’s going to sound as good as the 570..
Fuel injector ?
Hello, was wondering if somebody could tell me how these injectors work on a 2012 G2 800R. Its a long story but I’m certain I’ve got a fuel issue and I took off the front injector took it out tried starting it and it pulses but out of the 4 holes 2 are spraying fuel is that due to start? does it switch to 4 holes when you crack the throttle or is it clogged? It won’t start and I’ve got spark and compression however I haven’t done a compression test other than sticking my finger in the plug hole and its popping out on both cylinders so before I go further I want to make sure that I’m on the right track. Thanks
How softer springs could improve cornering, maybe.
Would softer springs make shifting ones weight to the inside while cornering even more productive? With softer springs I would think you could better tilt the body and engine to the inside and therefore weight the inside tires better for better stability and better traction.
However, with softer springs if you don’t shift your weight to the inside, the quad will tilt more to the outside of the turn for less traction and it would be unstable.
I’ve been wondering about this for a while and would like to hear others opinions about this.
Stm secondary
I purchased a gen 1 STM secondary from a buddy, just wondering if there are any major differences/performance advantages between the gen 1 and the gen 2? Wondering if it would be worth just getting the 2nd gen or keeping the gen 1 for now.
Aftermarket radiator
A while back there was a thread that someone had posted they got a custom rad built. Iv looked for it and can’t find it. Does anyone remember the name of the place that built it or the thread that it was listed in ?
G2 spark plug change
Going to be changing my spark plugs in the next few days and wondering if there is any tips or tricks for getting the front spark plug out. I’d like to avoid removing the exhaust heat shield, I’ve had it off a few times for other things and its a major pain in the ass to get on and off, especially with the BRP snorkel kit, the ECU is relocated a bit lower and has to be unbolted to get at the front bolt for the shield. Just trying to make the job easy as possible.

2016 BRP Club Showroom
Found a nice video of walk around at the 2016 BRP Club Showroom. It has a few colors of atvs there that aren’t available yet, but I’m sure they will be soon…A black/silver/blue XMR outlander and a black/blue XT outlander among other models, the new Defender etc.
