Has anyone taken measurements of a full skid plate? I have a guy that cuts UHMW for my work that i want to cut me out a full skid plate, but i need to draw it up in cad first. Can anyone help a brother out?

Looking for a ” TUBED” FRONT winch bumper, kind of like the one in the link be low( FOR A 08 rzr) , other then a custom one does any one know of other vendors that make them . Thank you in advance.

I think I want to buy one for my XP1K. I saw an old thread saying they are weak and bend. Any current experiences? I love the clean look and want a winch. But looking clean doesn’t matter if it bends.

Has anyone had issues with the self tapping screws that come with the skid plate kits breaking off while you screw them in? I’m using my electric impact and turned the power down after breaking the first one. I turned the power setting down to 1 and it wouldn’t even turn them to thread them in, then on 2 it would eventually snap them.

I swear these things are made of swiss cheese. I had three of them break off in the front diff plate. They are a lot of fun to drill out after they snap. The correct hole size is also definitely not 3/16". One size up from that worked much better.

I’ve spent more time on the POS hardware they included with this high dollar skid than it should have taken to do the entire job. One size up from that worked much better.

For the money this skid costs I expect higher quality products. I’d expect this had I bought a cheap skid.

In the market for a new front bumper for the my ’14 900XP. Had the Team Alba bumper previously but it got destroyed in a front-end collision. Been looking at the Racer Tech Baja front bumper but it’s pricey. Anybody run this bumper? How do you like it? Is it worth the added cost over some of the other less expensive ones? Thanks in advance!

I looked at different bumpers and decided I liked the Polaris Deluxe Front Bumper the best for my 900 Trail. Also, the local dealer was having an open house/sale so the price was good.
It attaches with the Lock and Ride system which is great. I am wondering if the expansion anchor mounting system is strong enough to use the bumper to tow from if I am stuck.
There is a ring at the bottom of the bumper but it looks too flimsy to tow from. I figure is in meant as a tie down point.
Polaris gives no info about this.
