2005 650 traxtermax starter problem

I thought that my solenoid was going for years, because it would just click intermittently from time to time. Then all it would do is click, unless I jumped it with screw driver. Then, after doing that a few times in an effort to start it, i went back to button…and nothing. So checked fuses, they were good so I replaced solenoid thinking I burnt it out. Now after the $135 solenoid replacement, I am back to the solenoid just clicking again. So the next is the starter…but at $579 from BRP ….WOW!!!!!….i am not even sure if that is it…just spent almost a grand on getting a ring and gastet job done, and now this. So I am thinking first have to know if it is the starter for sure, then I wonder, maybe the best option price wise is to rebuild the starter

02 Quest speedo quit

Hi I am a new member and I have an 02 Quest that has a non-op speedo as well as odometer. I checked the fuses and they are all good but local BRP dealers haven’t been much help solving the problem. Anybody have any ideas how to check them out.
Thanks for any help.

Transmission Issues

When I throw it in gear, quad goes by itself without me hitting the throttle.
Then when I come to a stop, I cannot change out of the current gear I am in (drive to neutral, let’s say). I need to shut the engine off so the transmission can lock into gear.

Engine revs, quad never goes faster than 10mph??

This is a JD Buck but thanks to The Googles I have discovered it is just a Bombardier Traxter with JD stickers on it.
I cannot find a single dealer or service shop in my area that will touch this so I am hoping to get some advice before I decide if this thing is scrap or repairable.

So I thought it would be fun to ride around in the snow.. Well after about 15 mins I noticed that the engine was reving way higher than the speed warranted.

I can put it into HL and R but it just barely crawled. I assume I burnt something out inside the transmission but the few people that I could get to even talk to me at local shops gave me horror stories about how it’s going to cost more to repair than buy a new quad.

Now that it has sat the rest of the winter..
So, at this point it won’t start, the starter just whirs, so time for new starter?

Once I can get it started, what can I look at to maybe repair this? Is there a trans rebuild kit? Are there maybe just some shredded belts or something inside the tranny?

Any suggestions or thoughts are greatly appreciated, if I can fix this for a couple hundred, or less, it will deff be cheaper than buying a whole new quad.

Batter removal 650 ext-trailbuck

perhaps a silly question.
The battery is too large to simply lift out no matter which way I seem to turn it.

I am curious what is the suggested best way for battery replacement and what else must be removed to replace the battery.
I can come up with a couple different options, but none of them seem quick.

I am hoping I am missing something obvious.
Thanks
