STI HD3 6+1 Rims Rub Tie Rod On 2015 Touring ???

Just bought the STI HD3 Narrows 6+1 and 26" BH’s for my BNIB 2015 Touring SP… Haven’t even ridden the thing yet but was getting ready to install my new Ricochet skid plates and "heard" a grinding noise…..<sigh>… I had the bars fully turned when it started rubbing..Rubs on both sides…

What should I do now ? Any suggestions ?? :nixweiss:

what size zillas to get for 850 xp?

I have narrowed my search to zilla tires for my 2012 xp 850 sportsman. I want to know what size will be the most safe with stock clutching. I will be using stock rims. I also want least amount of wear on axles and drive train. would 26 or 27 inch tires be most appropriate?
Thanks in advance

Wheel Play?

I jack up my 2012 touring 850 with 26x11x14 rear grim reapers and wiggle them with both hands.
1/4 inch or less of play on both tires.
I take them off and what’s wiggly is the hangers that the cv joints go into. I guess they’re just that way to have a little play in them? The axle nuts are tight and cotter pins are in, so what is it?

Thanks!

Trailblazer rim question

I have a question about the front rim size on a polaris trailblazer 330. I know that the rim size is 10×5 and is a 4/156 bolt pattern but what s the rim offset? I cant find this information anywhere. Also if anyone could tell me the rim offset for the back too as i am looking to buy aluminum rims for it. The tires i am looking at for the front are itp mudlights in 23×8-10 which is an inch wider do you think this will be a problem? Thanks in advance!

New shoes

Just got some Mud Lites on my sportsman 800. But they are 26” instead of the 25” that it came with, Will that change the speedometer and how much? Thanks Trog

ITP black water review

took my quad up to maine last week and got a LOT of crawling around rocks, stumps and deep deep mud. figured i would give my opinion on what ive found so far. so here it goes
first off i will say 99% of my riding was in low gear hauling logs and lumber through the woods. i went in bud over my floor boards and i totally forgot to put it in 4 wheel drive!!
when i was in the grass and mud. i punched the throttle once…. thats all it took. and the machine stood straight up in the mud! these things bite hard and pull.
i could not tell any difference in the weight at all. but i did notice when i was around 3800 rpm just riding through the woods i thought my tires would be spinning like mad, but they were just crawling through the mud. lots and lots of traction!!
i only put it in high once when i got onto the fire road and it took a little bit.. again im being very very picky. little bit more throttle to get moving. but once i was doing 10mph i could wack the throttle and the machine would rip!
as far as smoothness goes. does not matter the speed at all. it was not rough at all. no handle bar shaking or anything!
overall 100% happy with these and i cant wait to get more high speed miles on them!!!
