Bearclaw tire rub

I just installed a new set of bearclaw HTRs on my 500 sportsman and the front ones rub the tie rod ends a little. Is it ok to use washers behind the wheels or is there some sort of spacer made for this?

Outlaw tires cracking

So it seems like a couple of my tires have very small cracks in them. Mostly on the sidewall near the rim but on one theres a small crack on the open space in the tread. Im running 3.5 lbs as per their recommendation. Ive only had them for like 8 months and most of the time the bike’s been sitting since it was just winter and i didnt ride it very much. They barely have any miles on them. Should i be concerned or is that normal?

Anyone out the running STI HD5 wheels?

I know that I have seen them mentioned here and there but unfortunatly the search engine on the forum will not let you search for "HD5" or "HD-5" etc. It says that there are no responces found even though I have seen them on here.

Anyway, I just wanted to see how they look mounted on a Sportsman. I have been looking at rims for my 13 touring 850 and like the idea of a beadlock as some people have spun wheels in tires, not to mention it would help to prevent de-beading a tire at lower pressures. One of the main reasons I am looking at them is that you can get them in a 5+2 offset which I will need to run a 27" tire on a touring even after trimming the rear footrest bracket. I really do not want to go with a 4+3 not only due to the width, but I do not want to jack up the front end geometry a lot.

So anyone running them?

Tires for 2014 Sportsman 400 HO

Ive got a 400 HO that has been working great with the stock tires, but I think it needs something more aggressive for the mud. I think Maxxis Zillas would look great and do good in the mud, but how do they compare to ITP Meyhem or Mud lites? Would it be safe to run 27s or 28s on my 400? If so would I NEED a clutch kit? Any other problems I would have to watch out for running the bigger tires on my 400? Any feedback helps!

Thanks!

9″ Wide Rear Tires on 2004 Sportsman 700?

Hi everybody–this is probably not a question that gets asked very often, but has anybody ran smaller tires in the rear (25x9x12)? I found a nice set of GBC Dirt Tamers for cheap, but the rears are 25x9x12. Budget is definitely an issue for me, which is why I’m forced into something like this and am not just buying a new set of Bighorns. Any advice and feedback would be greatly appreciated! I’ve done a lot of reading on pros and cons of most of the tires out there, so I know what I’m getting on that front, the only thing I couldn’t really find information about is running a slightly smaller width rear tire. Thanks!!

Front Center Caps

I just bought a set of ITP SS212 wheels for my 2000 Polaris Sportsman 500. The front center cap will not fit due to the hub is ticking out to long. What do I need to do to get my center cap to fit? Do I need to add a spacer and if so what size? Do they make a longer center cap that fi the wheel I can order? Please help, thanks.
