Has anyone been to Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area?

My wife and I are thinking about heading to the Barnwell Mountain Recreation Area this Saturday and I was just wondering if anyone here had been out there? I have seen some videos and it looks nice but most of what I have seen is more technical stuff. Are the normal trails still pretty good? I do not mind technical but I do not want to get into something risky with my wife on the back, it’s just not worth something happening even if wearing helmets etc. So how is it on the whole?

Hafield McCoy VS Western Trails

Hello all, frequent reader but new member and glad to finally join the community. I love my polaris and every single of the 3700 miles I’ve put on it.

I’ve ridden Taylor Park numerous times, Silverton/Ouray and the Paiute a couple times each, and the Bighorns of WY once. Although all of these areas I’ve been to are unique, they all offer great rocky trails, scenic mountain passes, views so beautiful you can’t describe, great fishing and wildlife, and for the most part you can unload for a week or 2 and throw the truck keys in the garbage. Here is my question:

We are considering headed east next year to Hatfield McCoy. Have any of you been to any of the western places I’ve mentioned above as well as WV for a comparison? How does it compare in terms of the highlights I mentioned above? I’m worried the views and overall experience won’t compare. For us, we love riding but it’s more about the sights and experiences and the ATV’s serve more as our preferred method to accomplish those things. I can ride muddy trails near home (MO AR areas) and don’t want to get all that way and be disappointed in comparison to our experiences on the western trails.

Any unbiased opinions are appreciated. And if anyone has any questions about any of those western trails please shoot, I know them all fairly well.

Thanks

Jericho Mountain

Hello all,
My wife and I haven’t taken our 2015 Polaris 850 touring anywhere since we bought it last year. So we want to go to Jericho Mtn. This weekend. I have already registered it in NH. We live in Fryeburg Me. My question is. Does anybody know where the best place to park and hit the trail is. Gorham or Berlin? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Riding Allegheny National Forest in August

I’m planning to ride the Allegheny National Forest in August. I will bring double riding with my Wife and was wondering what trails you guys recommend? We don’t need 100% smooth trails we enjoy some hills and mud. I just don’t want too technical with her on the back. Thanks for your advice on which trails to ride.

Riding Wayne National Forest in Ohio?

It’s been years since I’ve rode Wayne National Forest. I was wondering if I can ride double with my Wfie? I know PA allows it if you have an aftermarket passenger seat. Any other info you think I may need to know please feel free to tell me. Thanks in advance!
