lake tahoe trails

I live in Sacramento, Ca. and I ride in the Lake Tahoe area national forests. As you may know, we have a vehicle use map for each forest that tells us which roads we can use.
At this point a little history is order. In 2012 the forest service closed most of the really good trails because they needed to complete impact studies and trail modifications. As a result, only trails that were open were posted where as before only trails that closed were posted. As you might have guessed, the net result was many fewer places to ride and not as scenic. The four wheel drive clubs have really helped to keep some trails open. My main bitch is that the vehicle use maps seem to have been created by people smoking dope. The trails often lead to nowhere and don’t connect. Furthermore, every Californian pays a ohv vehicle sticker fee that is supposed to pay for road improvements, I would like to know where all that money is going. The forest service personnel I’ve talked to complain about how they don’t have any money to work on the roads and how they don’t make much money. In general, they are a pathetic bunch of people. Nonetheless, they have been handing out some stiff fines for riders that don’t follow their bullshit rules. This is clearly a case of taxation without representation. I could go on and on but I’ll stop now and look forward to your feedback.

Nemadji state forest trail maps

I’m headed up to Nemadji state forest in a couple weeks with 3 other couples. I was up there last year for the first time and enjoyed it but never got to the north east corner which I have heard are very good. The only maps I have are from

http://www.straightarrows.org/wp-con…adji-Map_b.pdf

And here

Map with driving directions to Nemadji State Forest in Minnesota

We will be parking at the northern most staging area. On my maps it shows a lot of OHM trails in the north east corner. Are there more atv trails than what is shown? Where can I find better maps?
Thanks

Brimstone oct 10th-13th

3 of us are heading out to Brimstone October 10th-13th. If anyone wants to come out and ride with us, let me know. We will be on 2 quads (550xp & 850xp) and a Teryx SxS. Love riding fast, technical rock climbing and some mud.
